I’ve never been a fan of scented trash bags. The scent is always so floral and overpowering, and I always feel like it rubs off on me when I’m changing a bag.

So I was very interested to learn about Hefty’s new Unscented Odor Block Technology. These trash bags help neutralize garbage odors with no added scent. I was a little skeptical as to whether it would actually reduce garbage odor, but it really does work. Even though we frequently change bags, in the past I’ve noticed that after a few trash bag changes, my trash can would start to smell less than ideal, so I’d either have to get out the Lysol or take it outside and rinse it with Clorox.

    I buy different garbage bags for different needs. I take out the kitchen trash very regularly so I use a small garbage can and use cheap, small bags. But then I buy sturdy, larger bags for recycling, which doesn’t go out as often.

    I can’t stand the stretchy bags – I think they always tear. (Maybe I have a lot of “point” garbage.)
    I love drawstring trashbags that are strong and large. I usually buy the thicker mils b/c I hate for the bags to tear. I usually buy unscented.
