I’ve never been a fan of scented trash bags. The scent is always so floral and overpowering, and I always feel like it rubs off on me when I’m changing a bag.

So I was very interested to learn about Hefty’s new Unscented Odor Block Technology. These trash bags help neutralize garbage odors with no added scent. I was a little skeptical as to whether it would actually reduce garbage odor, but it really does work. Even though we frequently change bags, in the past I’ve noticed that after a few trash bag changes, my trash can would start to smell less than ideal, so I’d either have to get out the Lysol or take it outside and rinse it with Clorox.

    I like my bags to be a little stretchy so I can get them around the mouth of the trash can. Having them fall off into the can, especially the kitchen one, is the worst!

    I look for a very plain trashbag, but it does need to be strong enough not to break and big enough to fit the can … finding this seems to be a challenge for me these days … I don’t like the drawstings, etc because I feel like I’m paying for something extra that I don’t need.

    Although I’m not normally one to do a lot of trash talking, I like brand name garbage bags so they don’t rip when I pull them out of the can.
