I’ve never been a fan of scented trash bags. The scent is always so floral and overpowering, and I always feel like it rubs off on me when I’m changing a bag.

So I was very interested to learn about Hefty’s new Unscented Odor Block Technology. These trash bags help neutralize garbage odors with no added scent. I was a little skeptical as to whether it would actually reduce garbage odor, but it really does work. Even though we frequently change bags, in the past I’ve noticed that after a few trash bag changes, my trash can would start to smell less than ideal, so I’d either have to get out the Lysol or take it outside and rinse it with Clorox.

    I look for a strong trash bag that will not rip or tear when I try to pull it out of the trash can. I need one that can prove strong enough to hold the dirty diapers from my diaper champ and not rip apart when I pull the bag out. Also gotta have the drawstring.

    I look for one that won’t rip when I take it out of the trash can. It must have draw strings! I don’t care for the scented bags, either and I have found that the “flexible” bags are really not that flexible.

    What I look for in a garbage bag is if it is more tear resistant. I tend to put things with sharp corners right into the bag. I need a bag that will stand up to my bad habits.

    I prefer bags with drawstrings. I do not care for the Hefty bag with odor block. Its coated with some funky substance that I have to wash off my hands after I put a brand new bag in the trashcan.
