I’ve never been a fan of scented trash bags. The scent is always so floral and overpowering, and I always feel like it rubs off on me when I’m changing a bag.

So I was very interested to learn about Hefty’s new Unscented Odor Block Technology. These trash bags help neutralize garbage odors with no added scent. I was a little skeptical as to whether it would actually reduce garbage odor, but it really does work. Even though we frequently change bags, in the past I’ve noticed that after a few trash bag changes, my trash can would start to smell less than ideal, so I’d either have to get out the Lysol or take it outside and rinse it with Clorox.

    The most important feature for me is STRENGTH! I don’t want it to rip as I pull it out of the can. At the same time, I’m not willing to pay double for it….

    I hate when they rip when you pull them out of the trashcan. And then you’re trying to rebag it and it takes about a million hands! Lol Trashbags are expensive so I used to try to get away with buying the cheap ones but it really isn’t worth it in the end!

    I like the drawstrings. It makes life so much easier if I don’t have to try and tie up the over stuffed garbage bag!!

    I like the ones that stretch…..our garbage seems to always be overflowing and the extra stretch helps. The odor blocking would be great for those diapers that find their way into the kitchen garbage can.
