I’ve never been a fan of scented trash bags. The scent is always so floral and overpowering, and I always feel like it rubs off on me when I’m changing a bag.

So I was very interested to learn about Hefty’s new Unscented Odor Block Technology. These trash bags help neutralize garbage odors with no added scent. I was a little skeptical as to whether it would actually reduce garbage odor, but it really does work. Even though we frequently change bags, in the past I’ve noticed that after a few trash bag changes, my trash can would start to smell less than ideal, so I’d either have to get out the Lysol or take it outside and rinse it with Clorox.

    I like garbage bags that are snug so they don’t come off easily and you don’t have to keep putting the bag back on.

    I love the odor block to help with smells and I look for a bag with a strong drawstring. I hate when the drawstring breaks on the way to the outside can!

    A bag that fits is important. I love it when it fits snug against the rim and doesnt cave in when you add the garbage.
