I’ve never been a fan of scented trash bags. The scent is always so floral and overpowering, and I always feel like it rubs off on me when I’m changing a bag.

So I was very interested to learn about Hefty’s new Unscented Odor Block Technology. These trash bags help neutralize garbage odors with no added scent. I was a little skeptical as to whether it would actually reduce garbage odor, but it really does work. Even though we frequently change bags, in the past I’ve noticed that after a few trash bag changes, my trash can would start to smell less than ideal, so I’d either have to get out the Lysol or take it outside and rinse it with Clorox.

    It depends on the trashcan! My main requirement is that they be tall enough to not creep down inside the can. Strength to not tear easily is good too.

    My fave trashbags smell like vanilla, but it’s a very light scent. It’s not an overpowering smell like dryer sheets.
    I don’t like drawstrings, but I do like strong bags.

    Definitely something that’s sturdy – there’s enough to do around the house without cleaning up leaking garbage!! :) A good odor blocker/scent is always a plus too!

    I usually look for cheapest because I haven’t found any that I love. Drawstring is a plus but I wish the ones that say they’re 13 gallon (kitchen size) would actually stay on the trash can.

    When I buy trash bags, I look for sturdy bags that won’t break as I’m carrying them out to the garage. Strong enough not to break with handles that will not break, as well.
