I’ve never been a fan of scented trash bags. The scent is always so floral and overpowering, and I always feel like it rubs off on me when I’m changing a bag.

So I was very interested to learn about Hefty’s new Unscented Odor Block Technology. These trash bags help neutralize garbage odors with no added scent. I was a little skeptical as to whether it would actually reduce garbage odor, but it really does work. Even though we frequently change bags, in the past I’ve noticed that after a few trash bag changes, my trash can would start to smell less than ideal, so I’d either have to get out the Lysol or take it outside and rinse it with Clorox.

    I’ve already tried the Hefty with unscented odor block. I like the idea of odor block, but didn’t like the scented ones. Then I found these. I use them in my Diaper Champ, too– they’re less expensive than the Diaper Champ bags they’ve just come out with and work better!

    I actually NEVER purchase garbage bags anymore both for environmental and frugal reasons. I reuse the grocery store plastic bags and shopping bags as garbage bags.

    I have to have trash bags with a drawstring and that are stretchy, otherwise I always rip them trying to pull them out of the trash can. My trash can seems to have a lot of suction. ;)

    I need a bag with draw strings that I can close up tight b/c the garbage cans stay in the garage all week and I don’t want to stink the place up!

    drawstrings and seals around the garbage can (won’t fall into the can itself when i throw something in it!).

    I like the flexible ones for the kitchen trash. They seem to work better for the heavier garbage. I used the regular ones for other bins though. Honestly, I buy whatever Hefty or Glad is on sale and that I have a coupon for.
