I’ve never been a fan of scented trash bags. The scent is always so floral and overpowering, and I always feel like it rubs off on me when I’m changing a bag.

So I was very interested to learn about Hefty’s new Unscented Odor Block Technology. These trash bags help neutralize garbage odors with no added scent. I was a little skeptical as to whether it would actually reduce garbage odor, but it really does work. Even though we frequently change bags, in the past I’ve noticed that after a few trash bag changes, my trash can would start to smell less than ideal, so I’d either have to get out the Lysol or take it outside and rinse it with Clorox.

    I only use Hefty bags because they are the best fitting for my trash can. I look for bags that will actually stay up in the can and not slide down in. They need to be strong and not puncture easily or leak. Hefty fills all those requirements.

    I like to have one that fits well on the trash can but I HAVE to have the kind with the strings that pull it tight to close
