I buy batteries when they are close to free after rebates or around Christmas when the sales are so good. :)

We use rechargeable batteries, and yes they have died when I needed them most!
Three days ago my littlest puppy (9 month old French Bulldog/Boston Terrier) was caught with her head inside a BISQUICK box. Yes, inside a bisquick box, eating all the bisquick powder she could. I grabbed the camera and the batteries were dead.
She took her head out and she has wet pancake like batter all over her face. Such a little piggy!!!

I use rechargeable for cameras — and always have extra in the camera bags because they do run out of juice at bad times. I have been able to score free Rayovac at Target when they are in the dollar bin and I have coupons. Every once in a while I am also able to get cheap batteries from CVS when combining a ECB deal with coupons.

I took advantage of the Staples Free-after-rewards deal recently to save on batteries. I also have a charger that will charge regular batteries that is wonderful! Thanks!

The larger packs of batteries are usually cheaper.

I save money on batteries by using coupons of course. I have been able to get very cheap (or free) batteries by using coupons at Kroger and Target.

More than once, my camera battery has died during a kid game, play, or family event!

This summer we went to Disney for the first time. I planned ahead and bought my uber expenxive camera battery prior at Walmart so as to avoid the expensive “gift” shops of Disney. Put the extra battery in my camera case. One problem…did not take the camera case into the parks with us. Sure enough, while we wait for them to open up the park my battery dies. Because I didn’t know when we would be making a trip to Disney again I was forced to buy a battery that cost me twice as much!!! Talk about disgusted being with myself.

We started buying the rechargeable batteries and I like them so much better! My video camera battery always seems to be dead especially when I am getting ready to record my son doing something great…
