Who Wants to Win a Flip Digital Video Camera?

August 29, 2008 by Tara Kuczykowski

Hopefully you’ve had a chance to check out my first-ever vlog attempt on frugal baby and toddler feeding, so you’ve seen the Flip in action! The quality of the video far exceeded my expectations, and it is SO simple to use.

I was really kind of nervous about doing a video. “You, uh, want me to do what? Put myself on display in a series of videos in front of all my readers? Um . . . okay.” But I had a great time learning how to use my Flip and playing around with Windows Movie Maker. Now that I’ve got one done and relaxed a little, I’m really looking forward to my next vlog!

So how would you like to have one of these fabulous little gadgets for your very own? Courtesy of Walmart and Pure Digital, I have one Flip Digital Video Camera in my hot little hands for one lucky reader to win! You could even use it to win a year’s worth of groceries by submitting your best money-saving tips on video to the Walmart channel on YouTube. I would be SO thrilled if one of my readers won the groceries!!!

Every reader has three methods available to enter this contest. Choose any combination of one, two, or three, for up to a total of 3 entries!!!

1. Leave a comment telling me the best money-saving method or tip that you’ve actually used recently. Make sure that I have some way to get in touch with you if you are the winner. (Either leave your email address in your comment or make sure I can access it from your profile.) Don’t worry, I won’t harvest your email addresses or use them for any purpose other than notifying you if you win.

2. Subscribe to my feed via RSS or email and leave a separate comment letting me know you have done so. If you’re already a subscriber, simply leave a separate comment letting me know you’re already subscribed. Lovin’ my subscribers! You guys make this all possible.

3. Spread the word about this contest in some manner and come back and leave a link in a separate comment. If you have a blog, you can blog about it. But if you don’t have a blog, you’re not at a disadvantage. You could review and Stumble it. You could Twitter it. You could post about it in a forum. Use your imagination!

It is important that you leave a separate comment for each type of entry because each comment is equal to one entry. Sorry to harp on this, but it really is that important to tally and select the winners easily, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Prize:
(1) Flip Video F260 Ultra 60-Minute Digital Camcorder, ARV $125

This giveaway ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sunday, September 7th. I’ll use Random.org to generate a number that corresponds with the winning comment and post the winner on Monday, September 8th. Good luck!

I’ve been menu planning based on what’s on sale/in our stockpile to reduce our grocery bills. Also, Cub Foods sells 93%lean ground turkey regularly priced @$1.69/lb and I’ve switched nearly everything that called for ground beef to this lower fat, lower cost turkey – delish and frugal!

My money saving tip is to buy children’s clothes/shoes during the end of season sales for the next year even if you have to guess at the size. I do this for toys too. I wait til they have clearance and then I buy a bday gift or 2n for upcoming birthdays

    Thanks

Instead of stopping by the coffee shop to indulge in some expensive beverage, I invested in flavored creamers and made them myself. It’s amazing how much you can save that way…

My tip is to stockpile on your most expensive grocery items (chicken, meat, etc.) when the price goes lowest. By buying the family-size large packs and freezing in smaller portions, you won’t have to pay big $$ the week you want to eat it.

    Thanks for doing the giveaway!

My money saving tip is to make your own cleaning products. It saves money and is good for the environment. Baking Soda, Vinegar, Lemon and Borax can clean almost everything.

I would love to be entered to win the camera…[email protected]

My best money saving tip is to do a budget. I actually created a budget template in excel and track everything to the penny. It takes a little extra time, but really keeps everything in perspective and helps me spend less.

A bonus tip? I shop at Aldi and Walmart. That keeps my grocery bill way down.

I plan my meals for the week using the market flyers and using coupons for the things on sale. This way I have the whole week of meals planned out.

Tip: I usually check the manager special sales section for discounted meat. They usually are still good and I can freeze them for later.

I have been using the Grocery Game for some time now. I have saved a lot of money – though I must say that it is pretty time consuming. You have to clip all the coupons which is kinda a pain.

I have read some of the posts and am going to look into the mypoints.com site.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
