Who Wants to Win a Flip Digital Video Camera?

August 29, 2008 by Tara Kuczykowski

Hopefully you’ve had a chance to check out my first-ever vlog attempt on frugal baby and toddler feeding, so you’ve seen the Flip in action! The quality of the video far exceeded my expectations, and it is SO simple to use.

I was really kind of nervous about doing a video. “You, uh, want me to do what? Put myself on display in a series of videos in front of all my readers? Um . . . okay.” But I had a great time learning how to use my Flip and playing around with Windows Movie Maker. Now that I’ve got one done and relaxed a little, I’m really looking forward to my next vlog!

So how would you like to have one of these fabulous little gadgets for your very own? Courtesy of Walmart and Pure Digital, I have one Flip Digital Video Camera in my hot little hands for one lucky reader to win! You could even use it to win a year’s worth of groceries by submitting your best money-saving tips on video to the Walmart channel on YouTube. I would be SO thrilled if one of my readers won the groceries!!!

Every reader has three methods available to enter this contest. Choose any combination of one, two, or three, for up to a total of 3 entries!!!

1. Leave a comment telling me the best money-saving method or tip that you’ve actually used recently. Make sure that I have some way to get in touch with you if you are the winner. (Either leave your email address in your comment or make sure I can access it from your profile.) Don’t worry, I won’t harvest your email addresses or use them for any purpose other than notifying you if you win.

2. Subscribe to my feed via RSS or email and leave a separate comment letting me know you have done so. If you’re already a subscriber, simply leave a separate comment letting me know you’re already subscribed. Lovin’ my subscribers! You guys make this all possible.

3. Spread the word about this contest in some manner and come back and leave a link in a separate comment. If you have a blog, you can blog about it. But if you don’t have a blog, you’re not at a disadvantage. You could review and Stumble it. You could Twitter it. You could post about it in a forum. Use your imagination!

It is important that you leave a separate comment for each type of entry because each comment is equal to one entry. Sorry to harp on this, but it really is that important to tally and select the winners easily, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Prize:
(1) Flip Video F260 Ultra 60-Minute Digital Camcorder, ARV $125

This giveaway ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sunday, September 7th. I’ll use Random.org to generate a number that corresponds with the winning comment and post the winner on Monday, September 8th. Good luck!

I have been using the Grocery Game for some time now. I have saved a lot of money – though I must say that it is pretty time consuming. You have to clip all the coupons which is kinda a pain.I have read some of the posts and am going to look into the mypoints.com site.nateandjakesmom at gmail dot com

if i have to buy something expensive, i always look for what place has the best deal, i don’t just go to any store and buy it, sometimes you can get it a lot cheaper if you buy it online, or if you look harder you can find it at a different store for less money.

There are a lot of money-saving methods I am trying. First, I am trying to drive less. I try to run errands on one or two days so I don’t waste as much gas. I also am cutting back on entertainment expenses. I barely go to the movies anymore and don’t rent movies that much either. I let whatever is on TV entertain me. I also look for the best deals when I go out shopping these days. This is a great giveaway and I really hope I win. Thanks.

I did the Suave deal at CVS that was mentioned here on your site!

I love saving money and I belong to a coupon train because there are different coupons distributed in different regions of the US. I’m in NY and I love getting the coupon train after a south or western Mom has had a chance to exchange her coupons withe the ones in the envelope.

Since the whole gas craze started I’ve been practicing fuel efficient driving tips. Generally, driving about 10 MPH less on the highway, and I meticulously monitor my RPMs so as to make sure I don’t burn any precious engine power by having to break hard. Keeping up on tune-ups and carwashes (while keeping your eye out for coupons!) to improve engine usage and wind resistance also help. I’ve gone from around 260MPG up to about 285.

My money saver I actually USE, as often on a daily basis, is a method known as “Stop and Think”! I use it anytime I want something badly- I just weigh the pros and cons if I were to buy it. In other words, I rarely shop on impulse! Saves a bundle!!!

My husband and I have a compact car and a small SUV. Every morning we decide who will be driving the most miles that day (him to and from work, or me running errands), and that person drives the smaller car to save gas. We’ve definitely seen a savings in our gas budget!

Who Wants to Win a Flip Digital Video Camera?

    Who doesn’t!?

This week, we saved money by calling our car insurance company and asking if there were any discounts that were available to us. We haven’t gotten any tickets, or been in any accidents in ages, and we’ve both moved into a higher age bracket (darn it!) so we got our car insurance down $250 a year WITHOUT changing companies! It pays to contact the companies you do business with, to see if you’re able to get a new discount.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
