One of the questions I’m asked most frequently these days is, “Which grocery stores double coupons in [my area]?” I’ve generally been responding by telling them to contact their local stores and ask what their policy is — but today it occurred to me that perhaps we could create a resource that will save everyone a little time and energy.
So to that end, I’d like to compile a list of grocery stores that double by state, and I need your help. Please scroll down and leave a comment on this post with your state and any grocery stores that you know of that double coupons.
I’ll use the information to create a resource that will allow users to easily look up their state and find out which stores will double coupons. Thanks for your help!

I live in New Albany, OH which is in the Columbus area and both the Kroger and Giant Eage here double coupons up to $0.99!The closest Meijer, from what I have seen in the ads, doubles them up to $0.99 as well most of the time, but I think that is kind of a “when they decide to do it” kind of promotional thing, could be wrong.
Kelli
Which Kroger stores will double up to $0.99? I am in Columbus and the ones around me only double up to $0.50, then will round any coupon between $0.51-$0.99 up to $1.

In North Idaho/Eastern Washington, the only store that doubles is Albertsons & that’s only with the coupon doublers they put out in their ads ever few weeks. They are limited to 3 per transaction. It’s very sad that no one else doubles. Poor us! ;)
Falguni
hi
I am from Manchester CT. here i have shoprite, stop and shop, big y, price chopper they double coupons up to .99 cents but they only allow four coupon per item in one transaction. Big y is the only one that also only allow any manufacture coupon up to five per transaction. I don’t get when people in show extreme couponing can use so many coupons in one or two transaction.
Johnson
Hey Falguni I watch that show religiously and I see how they do it. They don’t always show us the broken up transactions. The one lady had 18 transactions just to get the value she needed. Majority of them break up their transactions. Some stores don’t care and others put limits like 4 double or 6 doubles per transaction. Some evil managers make you get savings per person so you have to get more people to shop with you and stand there while you pay. How ridiculous!
Heather
Fort Wayne, In
Kroger triples up to .50 cents and Meijer doubles up to .50 cents. Those are the only 2 that I have found in my area

This is really nice of you, but I think it’s going to take so much of your time for a list that can and will change at any time, store to store, location to location, etc. I just think you do enough already, and policies differ so greatly, even town to town, and I’m sure you don’t need a bunch of negative comments that the list wasn’t correct at the time someone went shopping.
Just my little opinion, but I think we all need to be responsible for knowing what our local store coupon policy is, it’s not that hard, check to see if anything has changed once/twice a month after you find out the standard policy. For example, the Kroger here in Houston has tripled to .39 and doubled to .50 since I started shopping there 15 years ago (yikes!), and they just recently took that ALL away and are now only giving the actual coupon value. This recently just happened in Houston and the surrounding cities, and from a blog I read, didn’t happen at the same time in other major parts of the state.
Again, just my opinion, but I really think you are taking on an awful lot, especially when super fun family-time summer is just minutes away and this would be a huge distraction.
Come on everyone, just take a minute to call the stores close to you that you shop at, or want to shop at, and just ask about their coupon policy. Ask if they double or triple, to what amounts, and how many “like” coupons they will do that up to.
Johnson
Sorry Maria but you haven’t a clue how difficult it is to find out which store doubles coupons. There are dozens of Prices choppers in my area and only two of them double. Do you think it was just a phone call to one price chopper two clicks on their website to find it? Heck no!! it took almost two hours to go through all of them to only find 2 lousy stores that are both 50 miles away. That is just one store. I was too exhausted to look up the other 5 gorcery chains and the 4 drug store chains. I was looking for some sort of list for my area.
You leave her alone. I commend her for her willingness to complie this list. Trust me she is not sacrificing any of her family time for us strangers. She is doing what she can handle. You don’t know her energy level nor how much time she puts in to this or how much help she has. She will do it in her free time and on her terms. She would not offer to do it if she was sacrificing sleep or depriving her family from her attention. She may have a software that can sort the info we submit by zip code or state or something easy that we can search by. Why on earth would you discourage her from doing such a good deed. You sound like a husband. Unless you know her personally then you really should not have commented about it. If you do know her personally then tell her directly and not discourage her in front of all of us.
You make it seem like she has a deadline to get this done by or she is going to lose our respect of siomething. She can compile this list at her leisure. Thousands of us are giving her information to make one list. Instead of hundreds of us doing the tedious search for the same stores in the same city. So what if the stores change their policy, they do it all the time. Some managers verablly change the policy and refuse to abide by what is written. That is not her problem, she will obviously put a dislcaminer to say that this list is comprised of submissions by people in the area and they we should double check before going to that particular store. There that was it simple. (forgive the tone of this response, no aggression intended. I come from a family of competitive debators)

I’m from the Columbus, Ohio area. All of the Krogers around here double up to .99 and Giant Eagles as well. Also, Meijer will double up to .99, but limits the quanity so you can only double two of every item.

NONE of them double. Not even the Kroger affiliate.
Tracy
I was in Omaha for 6 weeks taking care of my aunt and Hyvee had an ad that was in a Sunday paper saying that hey would double up to 10 coupons. That was just a few weeks ago. My Uncle called me a few days ago and said that they told him that it was double coupon day and double his with in the past week. This hyvee is on 96th and Q.
Tracy
Also you can watch Pamida’s ad they double once a month up to a dollar. Thers is a Pamida in Gleenwood.

Yes…the Hy-Vee does every once in awhile. They actually publish a “coupon” you have to clip and bring in to double your coupons.
