Which Grocery Stores Double Coupons?

May 24, 2011 by Tara Kuczykowski 837 Comments

One of the questions I’m asked most frequently these days is, “Which grocery stores double coupons in [my area]?” I’ve generally been responding by telling them to contact their local stores and ask what their policy is — but today it occurred to me that perhaps we could create a resource that will save everyone a little time and energy.

So to that end, I’d like to compile a list of grocery stores that double by state, and I need your help. Please scroll down and leave a comment on this post with your state and any grocery stores that you know of that double coupons.

I’ll use the information to create a resource that will allow users to easily look up their state and find out which stores will double coupons. Thanks for your help!

live in Pasadena TX and my hubby and I are new to couponing, so we are doing our homework on grocery stores. Seller Bros. on Cherrybrook and Strawbery doubles coupons, not sure if other locations do. Also, I called this morning to Randalls in League City and they confirmed that they do double coupons. Still looking for more locations more centrally located in Houston.

Do these double any day of the week, or only offer doubling on certain days?

I’m not familiar with Lowes Foods. Is it in the Charleston, Columbia, or Greenville-Spartanburg areas?

In Williamsburg, Virginia our grocery stores who double include Martins (an affiliate of Giant), Farm Fresh, Blooms, Harris Teeter, Kroger and K-Mart. Each store has a different policy where they limit the number of coupons that can be used in a single transaction or even how many will double in a single transaction. Martins doubles up to $.99 only on the first coupon per item per transaction. You’ll have to seperate your items to get the doubled discount on like items OR go to the self check out and do it yourself. Farm Fresh up to $.99 every day except for Wednesday when they double up to $1.00 and sometimes Mega Events when they double up to $2.00 which is great. There registers only double 2 same items per transaction so plan your trips carefully AND you are limited to 20 coupons per transaction.

Regarding K-Mart doubling, I’ve just discovered their policy is on Wednesdays and Saturdays they will double the first 5 coupons in a single transaction of at least $25. However, if the item does not exceed the cost of the coupon they will not double it. I learned that when buying Colgate Toothpast offered at $.99 when I used $1.00 off coupons but hey no biggie – Free is always wonderful!

Tops Markets in NY doubles up to .99 (making a .99 q worth 1.98). But they will only take one q on a b1g1 and item is free if q is worth more than purchase price. Jubilee also doubles up to .99 but won’t take printed q’s.

I didn’t read this, but have been LIVING it for close to a year! I live in Houston, and after the Extreme Couponing show aired, Kroger decided to use Houston as their “test market” for ending their double/triple coupon policy.

This INFURIATED me, but I still looked at their ads & my coupons, then compared with other stores & my per unit price list. I found 1 or 2 items per week that were actually good deals…and very few that were GREAT deals. So, needless to say, my trips to Kroger since they stopped doubling have been few & far between.

I find much better deals at Randall’s where they still double & triple. This was VERY surprising because for as long as I can remember, I avoided Randall’s at all cost because they were by far the most expensive grocery store. NOT THE CASE AT ALL ANYMORE!

I was a LOYAL Kroger customer until they responded to the couponing show by cancelling their double & triple coupons. Unfortunately, I guess that huge change in my life had a very small effect on Kroger’s profit since they’re going forward with the policy change nation-wide.

i recently called randalls in houston beallire area after i watched extreme couponing on netflix and they informd mee they will no longer double coupons and they also won’t combine any randalls saving card coupons with clipped coupons, the manager informed mee they take the greater of the two. i was highly dissapointed and upset. myself and my husband have about 100$ to last 6 weeks for groceries after we put ourselfs through school and pay our monthly bills. so any help or info would be lovely, it would be joyous if i could even get a little more or my buck, like 300 dollars worth or 100 dollars would work or mee. please help :D

if anybody knows of a grocery store or a kmart/walmart/target type store that doubles coupons in the mid florida or southern florida region please email me. I have yet to even find our local kmart days that double and have called and asked in regards to this issue. As well I am relocating soon and would like to relocate to an area where there is a kmart foddstore or a target foodstore or something of that nature. we only have the kmarts and targets that have just basic housewares not food supplies. or should i say very few food supplies and its a hit or miss on what youd like to purchase. I did see on extreme couponing once or twice somewhere in midflorida region that there was a target and a kmart plus another grocery store that had double coupons but they never advertise the stores these ladies shop in. heck id be obliged to go shop there if I knew where the stores were and the stores names. thank you if anyone can help..

Kmart is doubling coupons everyday until further notice. You must be a rewards card member (it’s free and they pay you to shop- points earned turn into money you spend on a future purchase). You must spend 25.00 in grocery or health and beauty items. Limit is 5 coupons. Up to !.00 coupons will be doubled

No, they only double up to $1 max so if you have a $1 coupon, it will not double but if you have a .25 cent coupon, it will double to .50 cents.

My KMart doubles up to $1. So a $1 will become $2. Over $1 they do not double. A$25 purchase is required and they will only double the first five coupons.
