Target: $3 Columbia Pictures Movies

July 31, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 78 Comments

Target $3 Movies
What a great way to stock up on some early Christmas gifts! Print the $2 off Movie Staycation coupon (Target version), and take it to Target to get a number of movies for only $3.

The coupon is in PDF format, so you can print it multiple times, and it’s valid on any Columbia Pictures movie, not just those shown.

Reader Teresa got the following movies for just $3 each:

  • Madeline
  • Little Women
  • Muppets From Space
  • Elmo in Grouchland

If you find other $5 movies that would work with this deal, please share!

Also if you buy 6 staycation movies on the list form either Target, Best Buy, or FYE you can register them on the staycation site and get another movie from their staycation rewards for free!! no s&H either- also all of my movies from Target had the same code on the back of the label-so I had previously purchased 2 of the movies on the Target list so I just entered those UPCs with the promo code that was on the newer movies and it worked! This is all just entering codes-no mailing in of receipts or PoP.

If not is there another way I can get it?

I ended up getting movies that I dont think were sony? I had a hard time figuring out which one I could pick. But the cashier took the coupon for all 6 even tho 4 of them didnt want to go thru. Got Cat in the Hat (with Mike Meyers) Sandlot, Karate Kid, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory (with Johhny Depp) Stewart Little, & I can’t remember the last..
Also saw peelies, wich didn’t peel off b/c I tried to see what the back said. But DID see that specifically says 1 coupon per DVD, and the peelie is same brand “staycation” as coupons printed from online. And it says save $2 on your NEXT purchase, and tells you where to go online…

Make sure the movies you get have either the yellow peelie OR a *new* bar code sticker on top of the UPC. I bought 9 different movies, and only 4 would go through on the Sony website for the free one.

I got 13 going on 30, grouchland, milo and otis, daddy days out and muppets in space.

my 13 going on 30 and milo and otis wont allow me to input it in for the 6 get 1 free? Any luck or is that code different????

The others , I was able to use the same code plus its own upc, but not those 2.

    any ideas?

I am not sure if those use a different code-the movies have to on the staycation movie list for either BB, Target or FYE- I couldn’t remember if those 2 titles were- I can post annie and matilda upcs that should work if you need them.

This is frustrating. I bought 6…but it will only let me put in Matilda on the website. Granted, I don’t have a yellow peelie on the other ones but they were all on the list. Does anyone have any other yellow peelie promo codes I could try? Thanks.

I was able to buy the following DVDs at $5 each at Target: Girl, Interrupted / The Karate Kid / Matilda / 50 First Dates / The Adventures of Milo and Otis / Stuart Little / As Good As It Gets / Steel Magnolias / Something’s Gotta Give / Air Force One . Some of the other DVDs listed were $7.50 or more so I’ll be saving some coupons to use on future sales (hopefully), especially since the coupon(s) don’t expire until October 31, 2009. Thanks for listing this deal – I’ll be using these DVDs for Christmas stocking stuffers.

If you select “other” when selecting at which store to buy the movies, It has a huuuuuge list/pictures of the movies that should qualify & it doesn’t seem like the coupon is any different from the “store specific” version.
