Target: $3 Columbia Pictures Movies

July 31, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 78 Comments

Target $3 Movies
What a great way to stock up on some early Christmas gifts! Print the $2 off Movie Staycation coupon (Target version), and take it to Target to get a number of movies for only $3.

The coupon is in PDF format, so you can print it multiple times, and it’s valid on any Columbia Pictures movie, not just those shown.

Reader Teresa got the following movies for just $3 each:

  • Madeline
  • Little Women
  • Muppets From Space
  • Elmo in Grouchland

If you find other $5 movies that would work with this deal, please share!

I bought Jumanji for $3 at Target ($5-$3 staycation coupon) and there is a “Get a Movie ticket to see Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs or Planet 51” sticker on the front.
There is a code on the back of the sticker to print a Movie cash certificate for $7.50 off either movie good thru 12/31/09.
    Great Deal for $3.
I only saw the Movie Cash offer on Jumanji but may be on other titles.

If this helps anyone I was able to put 3 of the DVD coupons on one page so it will only print out the coupons and not all the other stuff wasting ink. I can send you the file. I can also do this for the Blu Ray coupons as well.

I would be very interested in Anna-Marie’s offer to send the file of the 3 DVD coupons on one page. I really don’t like wasting paper and so much ink!!! I would really appreciate this!!

    Thanks!

walmart has a huge display with $5 DVD’s. I’m going to try and use mine there. I chose other-so they weren’t store specific.

Here is my email address if you would like the coupon alone to save on ink. I have not been successful in sending three together (file is too large). I can send one and you can copy and paste it to a word document a few more times and then print it out.

I have a one page sheet with 6 coupons on it. It’s really easy to do actually. Just click on the coupon, crop out the coupon, copy the image and paste it on either Word or Excel. Size it so that it’s small enough that you can fit any # of coupons on it. Print preview to make sure it’s fitting on one page. If you would like me to send you a copy, email me at [email protected].

I got Stuart Little 2 at Target for 3.00 with this coupon! They gave me no problems at all. I tried to use the coupon for a movie at Wal Mart but they would not accept it. I’m not surprised though! I’m happy with my target deal – thanks for sharing!

The staycation coupon is also good for “Lawrence of Arabia” at Target. This dvd is regular price $10 – and I’ve been waiting for it to go on sale. Today I was at Target, and could not find the “L of A” dvd, so I asked a clerk. He said it was now “discontinued” by Target, but there were some still left in the backroom, and he would get me one. The price of the “discontinued” DVD is $7.50, so using the $2 off coupon from staycation, it was now $5.50 plus tax. I bought one of these DVDs of “Lawrence of Arabia”. This is a good price for it.

Ok. I feel like a dummy, but I assume there’s some kind of “staycation” label on the DVDs that we can use this coupon with?? Someone please fill me in.

    Thanks.

At my Target store only 2 movies had a StayCation sticker on them but there were about 30 movies to choose from. I bought the 2 with stickers in hopes that I would not have any trouble at the check-out. I chose Madeline and Trouble with Angels (as pictured on the coupon page) and had no trouble at all. Has anyone else tried using them on the rest of the movies that are on the display?

You could also just hit the stop button on your printer after the coupon prints and before all the movie titles start. Hope that helps!

The coupon worked well for me in Houston, TX. Elmo in Grouchland is a strange movie, but my two year old likes it. I wish there were more titles, but the deal is good nonetheless.
