I sent a SASE to the Rite Aid headquarters for a list of the winners (over $600). Since people can claim prizes until March 31,2010, it may be awhile before I receive the results. But I REALLY want to know if anyone won this crummy game. Linda

Hey. I won the 250 dollar gift card. After the stores were giving away the free tickets is when I got the Sunkist one. But I agree the big prizes no one can win. Although the manager said that they have to give out all the prizes because thats what they advertised. She said it is illegal if they dont or they would have to have a second chance drawing. I think we should file a complaint this is ridiculous, I have opened approx 5,000 tickets and have saved them all. Alot of cheap instant wins.

The official rules say any unclaimed prizes are forfeited, so they are NOT having a second chance drawing. Is this legal? I have #23, but #22 seems to be non-existent.

With all of u who have the rare pieces, how come noone on this site has won a big prize, or have you?? I have seen some of us say we have all but one number to win a big prize, and someone else say they have that missing piece and both willing to split..what happened guys? Did any 2 people get it together and claim a prize??!!!! I sure hope so..
Also..what about the rest of the public who just took tickets and threw them away..if there was only a few #1’s anyway, it’s a good chance Rite Aid saved ALOT of money not having ANYONE claim these prizes because they were thrown out by nonplaying customers or just not handed in..correct anyone?? They sure did gain alot of customers!

I do agree that it seems like there aren’t any winning tickets. I have opnened at least 2,000 tickets myself and keep thinking I’m boung to see a #1 or #8 soon. But if you think about it, there are literally only a few of those “winning” numbers – out of 190 MILLION tickets (that’s how many tickets were printed/distributed). On Rite Aid’s website, there is a list of winners so far (https://content.riteaid.com/gameoflife/GameOfLifeCustomerWinners.pdf). It seems to be updated about once a week. So far there has been 1 winner of the $25,000 and 1 winner of the $10,000, but no winners of the $250,000 or the car/$50,000. And they also show about 17 winners of the Wii/$400 so far (out of 200 that were supposedly available). They also show 2 cruise winners have been drawn on all the drawing dates so far (with more dates coming – up until April 1st – they’ll draw 2 more cruise winners per drawing date until then). But like “Linda” said above, the rules DO say that they don’t have to make sure all prizes are claimed. So there’s not likely anything that can be done such as class-action suits.

I’ve seen people selling unopened tickets on e-bay. I wondered if those people have some way of telling if those tickets don’t contain the rare pieces or that they aren’t instant winners. I just find it hard to believe they would be selling unopened tickets that could have a $50,000 instant winner (the car) or some other major instant-win prize. The tickets do have a code on the outside of them. Do you think that there’s some way to look up the contents by those numbers? Maybe these e-bay sellers have some inside scoop (ie. they work for Rite Aid headquarters?)…. I’m just skepitical.

On a happier note, I did finally find the rare #6 piece and the #11 but not the matching #1 and/or #8 to create a winning combination. But I keep getting big handfuls of tickets every day at my local Rite Aid… they say they’re going to keep handing them out until they’re all gone.

When I ask for tickets at the store, the clerks always say that I can have a handful, but mention that “the game was over at the end of February”. I’ve noticed that the kids working there (clerks) don’t realize that prizes can be claimed until the end of March. When I mention it, they just say “oh, really?”. You’d think that they would educate their employees better.

I understand that most of you who have left comments so far are upset or mad about this whole game… feeling or believing that you should have won something, having opened hundreds (even thousands) of tickets. I feel the same way, only it’s more frustration than being mad. We have to realize that there’s only 36 prizes that are $10,00o and higher… out of the 190 MILLION tickets distributed. (2 of the $250,000 — 7 of the $50,000/car — 11 of the $25,000 — 16 of the $10,000 ) Those are HUGE odds. Our mere few hundred or few thousand tickets are still hardly anything to that. There are only TWO of those #1 Duracel battery marker pieces out there. There are only 6 of the #8 piece out there (to win the car) and ONE of the “instant win” tickets for the car .

If you’re wondering where I get all these details, check out https://www5.riteaid.com/game-of-life

    Good luck everyone!

I am an employee at Rite Aid! Listen we are just doing our job. We got an E-Mail to get rid of them and we did. If there is an instant winner in the ones thrown away! Then thats the point. The company got to finish the game without having to give away the prizes that were advertised! Its called marketing, learn it!

I think the whole thing was a scam. Even the people who work at rite aid in the town where I live have no idea who won. They think nobody did and that is not fair. I know it is not the employee fault it’s the higher up and that makes me mad. This seems like false advertising to me. What can we do about this?

Listen friends, #6 cannot be that rare if so many of you are reporting having it. There is usually just one that completes the winning combination. Also, I have heard that the winners of prizes had all of the required pieces all on one gamepiece. I like that. It would make it that much easier to identify winning something.

Ada, the workers don’t know who wins. The sweepstakes/promotion agency is the company that handles the sweepstakes for Rite-Aid. If you win a huge prize, you don’t go to Rite-Aid to collect it. Usually, we, the sweepstakes players, know more about the contest than the clerks or mgrs. at the store.

Personally, I don’t care for these “games” at all. Who has time to rip apart their teeny tiny game pieces, not me.

I won $1,000 and I am sending in my prize claim form today (03-12-2010). I am in Marietta, Georgia. I do not know where I got the winner. I opened them all at the same time. Also, I would like to see a list of the winners.

    I am missing #1 (250,000), 8 (car),15 (kitchen), 20 (10,000) ,22 (5,000),26 (1,000)
29 (wii), 35 (250),39 (100),42 (50),46 (50),47 (20),52 (20). I used my #26 to win a 1,000 /only 125 of the #26 were printed. Rite Aid told me that only the number of winning pieces were distributed nationally as the number of each prize available. I was afraid it was a first come first win deal. They also said that one person could win more than one prize. I think I am missing the key pieces for each prize. If anyone finds them, they will not need help from anybody. But, let me know if I can help. Good Luck, Linda
