Monica: I never heard of anyone winning anything yet. Not even the $20. You would think some people would find all of those #s in that set…

Kathryn: The #s do go up to 52. You have to collect all of a set to win. The game board is here: https://www5.riteaid.com/game-of-life

The scam in grocery store games is this:

Every prize worth $5000 or more requires two rare pieces/markers.

Every prize worth $1000 or less requires one rare piece/marker.

You may get lucky and hit a rare piece for a $1000 or less valued prize. Unless two people can find the other each with a rare piece for a prize $5000 or greater the chances of winning that $5K or greater prize is statistically *Zero*. The only chance you have is with an instant win coupon.

I look forward to two people with rare pieces find each other on the Internet and split a high value prize. Lets bust these grocery store game scams once and for all.

I havent heard of anyone winning the big prizes.

I stopped at three different Rite Aids daily from day one. Yesterday feeling sorry for me the clerk gave me 50 tkts. I won 6 game tkts, big deal. I adveraged 6 to 10 tickets daily and have nothing to show for it!
I need the same numbers as everyone else.
The s1 and s2 tkts for the carnival cruise add up quickly. What is the last date to send them in?
Next time I won’t waste the time or gas! I will stick to online games.

Yeah, I need 01, and 15. Ive done alot of reseach, and so far I have come up with this. If you can manage to get your hands on 01, 08, 15, 20, or 22, your a pretty well of winner. No one can find those.
I wish they didnt hand the tickets out to those who dont play or know the game. People get 3, decide their not a winner, and toss the cards. Our number we need are probably in the garbage somewhere.

This story of mine really takes the cake and I am seriously thinking about contacting Rite Aid Headquarters. Sunday (2/28/2010) one day AFTER the game ended I still had some pieces that were instant wins and so I went into the Hudson MA place and attempted to get the tickets. It was only about 20 and I KNEW the game was over on 2/27/2010 but I thought I would try anyway.

So anyway, I went into the store and tried to redeem the tickets and the clerk said “Oh, that game was over yesterday” and I proceeded to tell her that I know that but some of the other ones were still passing tickets out if they had them until they were gone. She then told me again “Well, the game was over yesterday and we got rid of any remaining ones”. I asked her what exactly got rid of meant. She said they were thrown away. Well, I really don’t want to make it seem like I am going to go totally psycho over a game, but there is potential for lots of money. Chances are the tickets are just more common tickets, but for her to state that they just threw them away really rubbed me the wrong way. What if one of them does have a rare piece or an instant winner???

I know for a fact that there was someone who won the instant winner convertible at the Rite Aid in Methuen MA as the manager of the Marlborough MA (boy, I’m knowing more about rite aid than I need to know but that is how much this crazy game has consumed me….sure it is about the money, but also about the challenge of being able to locate these tickets) told me so.

Are there any thoughts from anyone else in the forum regarding this. It just seems so crazy that they would throw them out instead of handing them out to customers who are playing.

I just want you to know that this was a frustrating life game. I was given over 250 extra tickets by employees the last two days for nothing. I understood they were just trying to get rid of them, for the coupon winnings, to keep our business. It was aggrivating going through this anyways but at least I didn’t have to purchase the stuff I didn’t need to get those extra tickets. The truth came out when I opened all of those tickets, the winning numbers were spread so far apart through other states that it made it difficult. I personally think this was a deliberate state of mind by Rite Aid, its all a money deal. When I started searching on the web ,is when I realized which states had what and the pattern seem to stick. It’s how they made money and it left us with some awesome 25 cent coupons.

Wendy, don’t feel too ruffled about their throwing out leftover tickets. I may have you all beat in terms of trying to win this silly thing. On Friday Rite Aid employees said they were told they had to give all tix away, so one store gave me a HUGE pile when I told him I’d take whatever he had to give. He gave me just over 370 tickets; I told my sister & bro-in-law who went to the same store and picked up almost 320. I’ll save you the story of my odyssey this weekend, but I figured I’d darn sure win something with that many tickets, so I kept hitting store after store.
Here’s the sad part – among the 3 of us, we opened over 3,100 tickets – no, I’m not kidding! Clearly I had no life this weekend! We won nothing on the board game. Here’s the pitiful sum of what we won in instant winners:
    – $2.00 cash
    – $5.00 cash
    – 2 liter bottle Sunkist
    – 1 hair scrunchy
    – 1 150-minute phone card
    – 1 4-pack ballpoint pens
    – 1 Riceworks snack
    – 10 4×6 prints
Now THAT is sad! Hope springs eternal…….!

Hi there would anybody like to start a classaction lawsuite, i bet you that there was not one big winner of the big prizes. this was just a lure to get more peopole to shop their and they had no intention of giving out those pieces. i am pissed off and the game is over now so what the hell! I really got in to this with a lot of hope, traded pieces, and nothing and I know we all fell we got ripped off, i wasted alot of money just for those tickets. Nowe i got a sure plus of makeup and everything else that was a promotional item. I’m sure that they broke a law if they never had the intention of a customer winning.

    hi,

I am very upset, I stopped at three Rite Aid stores daily from the start. I had 6 to 10 tickets daily with one $5.00 winner out of hundreds.
At each store I got to know the employees and asked if anyone had any winners. “NO” was the answer. Only two free tickets and a few free products.
I will be very interested in the cruise contest, will anyone ever win?

I do think this was a scam and should be checked out!

I have two rare pieces. Rogaine Marker 14 and Tide Marker 6. I am interested in splitting the prize if someone has marker 1 and/or marker 18. Reply to this with your email if interested.
