Today is National Fresh Breath Day, a day to discuss the importance of oral hygiene, and the importance of having minty fresh breath. Coincidentally, it also happens to be my 6-year-old daughter’s birthday — just look at those beautiful, pearly whites thanks to her new Sonicare for Kids toothbrush! (Happy Birthday, Baby!!!)
Seriously, this was a child that I battled with regularly over brushing her teeth, and she’s now thrilled to brush her teeth every morning, noon, and night. These brushes are on the pricey side, but the savings we’re sure to see on dental bills makes them a much more reasonable proposition. Three cheers for clean teeth without any arguments!
In celebration of National Fresh Breath Day, Sonicare would like to give one lucky Deal Seeking Mom two Sonicare brush head refills for the Sonicare toothbrush of your choice!
To enter, just tell me what teeth brushing is like in your household. Are you a three-times-a-day brusher? Is it a struggle to get your kids to brush their teeth regularly?
This giveaway ends at 11:59 a.m. ET on Monday, August 9th and is open to all U.S. residents 18 years or older. I’ll use Comment Contest to select the winning comment. Winner will be notified by email and listed on my Giveaway Winners page. Winners must respond within 24 hours of notification to claim their prize. Good luck!

We are a twice a day brushing house! It’s not so much a struggle to get them to brush, but to *remember* to brush! We have a sonicare toothbrush with a desperate need of replacement brushes – thank you for the offer!!

We brush twice a day at our house, the kids are usually once but we try for twice. 3 year old, 2 year old, and 1 year old… it makes for a chore.
The boys love to “suck” their toothbrushes and then brush basically the bottom half of their mouth. So I have to remind them to do the top, sometimes they refuse and laugh at me and then take off running.
Charlotte
We don’t have any problems brushing at our house.
Lisa
These Sonicare “advertisements” are really annoying. Please stop talking about Sonicare. I’ve used them before and they are just overpriced, fancy toothbrushes.

We have taught my daughter to brush and floss twice a day. We don’t have dental insurance at the present time, so brusing and flossing are important in between dentist visits.
Kelsey
we brush twice a day!
Linda Kish
I usually do once a day.

Brushing is a struggle with my 2 year old. I bruch twice a day unless I fall asleep in her room trying to get her to sleep!

My 4 year old is a challenge, you have to hold him down. My 2 year old loves toothpaste and brushing.

We try to brush twice a day but it’s usually only once. We didscover the flossers for kids last year, so at least they floss, and my son uses ACT children’s mouth rinse daily A new Sonicare would certainly be a good motivator!

My 7 yr old tries to brush two times a day. Sometimes we are in a hurry and forget the am brush (sad, but true!) He had a cavity at his last dentist appt. Almost cried….at least it is a baby tooth. Now we have him floss with the kid flossers and his dentist actually recommended this toothbrush. Thanks for the giveaway!!!

With a new baby it’s hard to find the two minutes it takes to brush throughout the day, but I always make sure to brush before bed. My 8 year old fights me tooth and nail (no pun intended) when I tell her to brush. I have a sonicare but it’s only got one brush head. She wants to try it, so this would be perfect.
Dana
I still have to remind my 12 year old to brush. I brush 3 times a day…..was taught too early on and so was my child…she just don’t always listen. Great giveaway!
Michelle
I am a twice (sometimes 3 times) a day brusher. My boys (3 and 5) are getting better about letting us brush their teeth twice a day. Some mornings are a stuggle with the 3 year old, but as long as we use the “tickle” brush (battery powered cheapy) he is usually game. A new, more sophisticated “tickle” brush would be awesome! The replacement heads (if we won) would be the reason for us to invest in that nice new “tickle” brush! I think I even got a decent coupon for the brush that I’d be able to use! :)

We just have a two times a day policy. It’s easy to get them to start brushing their teeth, but they’ll only brush their teeth for a max 15 seconds and then claim that they’re done.

We typically brush our teeth twice a day. My DD only has two teeth that just recently came in, so we haven’t started the brushing routine yet.
Sarah
If I’m home, I brush 3 times a day. My kids are always willing to brush their teeth, the problem is getting them to do a good job of it.
Carol
We started using the Sonicare Kids toothbrush for our 3 year old. What a difference. Don’t get me wrong, he still has his screaming days, but for the most part, he will independently get everything out and prepped. He loves to brush at the same time I brush my teeth. I have my adult Sonicare and he has his very own. This seems to make him more interested. We have a “contest” to see who can get the cleanest!
Anyway, the prize of replacement heads would be wonderful!
Thanks for the chance!

I always brush 2 times a day & more if I’m at home I’ll brush after each meal. I have a 5 & 2 yr old & they don’t mind brushing their teeth, we have silly songs & games to go along with brushing.

I used to be a 10 minute routine person in the morning. I know that it would have been better at night. I would first brush my teeth, then floss, pre rinse w/a peroxide based product, after that I would use my Oral-B, on to the water-pic and use a wash to finish. I know…obsessive, but my parents always had issues with their teeth and I did’nt want that to be me. My hygenist used to love me, she didn’t have to do anything.
Then I got married……now I am lucky if I can find time to brush…don’t worry, I do…

We are twice a day brushers and my daughter loves brushing her teeth.
Sarah
Fortunately, it’s not a struggle to get my kids to brush their teeth. Unfortunately, they sometimes want to brush their teeth a little too much, and it can get annoying, especially when you are trying to get them out the door. But I guess I shouldn’t complain. :)
Amy
I take much better care of my teeth now that I am an adult. I try telling my kids that they need to take care of theirs as well, but they must constantly be told to brush, and when I inspect, sometimes have to go back and do it again.
Debbie Russell
I brush twice a day. My grandchildren have been taught to brush after every meal but of course it don’t always happen.
Michelle
I brush twice a day morning and night

I personally LOVE to brush my teeth throughout the day…generally 3-4 times a day. Getting my kids to brush their teeth is a whole new story…
Laura Warren
My 2 adult children still aren’t good about brushing their teeth twice daily, my daughter has had many cavities and has had 2 root canals already in her 20s. I’d love to win.
Tara
It’s not a struggle to get my 19 month old to brush her teeth, but it is a struggle to get her to brush her teeth CORRECTLY! She would just mess around and suck on the brush if we’d let her. :)
Junglewife
We try to at least brush our kids’ teeth once a day. I know that’s sad, but that’s the best we’re doing at this point! I bought my 4-year-old a kids’ Sonicare (my hubby and I use the adult one and LOVE it) and hopefully that will help her to be able to brush her teeth on her own correctly. She already has cavities!!!
Gwen
We sing the ABC’s while I brush their teeth…ABC (top right) DEF (bottom right) HIJ (middle tops)…you get the picture…they think it is funny and I make sure the teeth are clean! We have three kids 5 and under so it takes a little time :)
