Consumer Recalls: MZB Children’s “Light Up” Watches

About 1.9 million MZB Children’s “Light Up” Watches have been recalled because the case-back of the watch can detach and expose the interior to water, posing a risk of skin irritation, redness, rashes or chemical burns. This recall involves 303 styles of “Light Up” watches that are identified by style number. A complete list of the serial numbers is listed on the firm’s website. The watches have a flexible plastic wristband sold in multiple colors including pink, pink with white snowflakes, green, blue and navy blue. “MZB” and the style number are printed on the case-back of the watches. The affected watches were sold at Kmart, Kohl’s, Walmart and other retailers nationwide from October 2012 through June 2015 for between $5 and $20. Consumers should immediately take the recalled watches away from children and contact MZB for a refund.

Contact MZB toll free at (888) 770-7085 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or online and click on Product Safety Notice tab at the top of the homepage for more information.

New Febreze Unstopables Available 12/28

December 2, 2014 by Tara Kuczykowski Leave a Comment

Raise your hand if you love the luxurious scent of Downy Unstopables… Yeah, me too! I just adore the way my laundry smells when I shake some of these scent beads into the drum before washing. My favorite is the Fresh scent, and it makes my whole house smell amazing!

I’ve often wished my house could smell that way all the time, but even with as often as we do laundry around here (you know, 5 kids and all), the scent doesn’t last nearly long enough.

But starting December 28th, that’s all going to change! Febreze and Unstopables and pairing up to bring you the long-lasting freshness of Downy Unstopables up to 24/7 — and you can find it first at Walmart.

Available in Shimmer, Lush, and my personal fave, Fresh scents, new Febreze Unstopables is a premium line of products that will incorporate the Air Effects, NOTICEables, Candles & Fabric Refresher technologies.

I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of the new Febreze NOTICEables Unstopables, and I am loving the two alternating scented oils. My house smells so fresh and clean! Of course, I had to try the Fresh scent first, but I also received the Lush scent. If the scratch and sniff sticker on the front is any indication, I’m pretty sure I’m going to love it, as well.

According to the packaging, the NOTICEables should give up to 60 days of freshness on the low setting, all for the price of $6.94. Not bad for that kind of longevity, and I’m sure we’ll see some coupons for these products, as well!

My sources tell me that the Unstopables Air Effects air freshener will be priced at $4.94, and the Unstopables fabric refresher will be $6.94. No word on the candles yet, but I’m guessing they’ll be somewhere in the same vicinity.

Look for the new Febreze Unstopables line at Walmart starting December 28, 2014 — just in time to freshen up your home for the New Year!

Consumer Recalls: Graco Strollers and Travel Systems

November 21, 2014 by Leave a Comment

Consumer Recalls: Graco Strollers and Travel Systems

Graco has issued a recall on Aspen, Breeze, Capri, Cirrus, Glider, Kite, LiteRider, Sierra, Solara, Sterling and TravelMate Model Strollers and Travel Systems because the folding hinge on the sides of the stroller can pinch a child’s finger, posing a laceration or amputation hazard. For a complete description and list of model numbers go here. The recalled items were sold at Target, Toys R Us, Walmart and other retail stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com and other online retailers from August, 2000 through November, 2014 for about $40-70/stroller and about $140-$170/Travel System. Consumers should contact Graco immediately for a free repair kit which will be available at the beginning of December, 2014. While waiting for a repair kit, caregivers should exercise extreme care when unfolding the stroller to be certain that the hinges are firmly locked before placing a child in the stroller. Caregivers are advised to immediately remove the child from a stroller that begins to fold to keep their fingers from the side hinge area.

Contact Graco Children’s Products at 800-345-4109 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or online and click on the “Help Center” at the top and Recall and Safety Notifications for more information.
