I think it’s important for kids shoes to actually stay on during the day – when I was a teacher I was always frustrated with kids running across the playground and out of their shoes! So, I think the McKenzie kind would stay on my daughter’s feet the best!

Finding the right size is the most important thing for me when buying shoes for my little man. He has a wide foot like his Daddy.

The Teton is my favorite for my third grader. He loves his Crocs and I think these would be great for school. The fur lining on the first pair would be too warm for us in the South!

Shoes for school for my kids for one have to be a good deal and two have to be easy for them to get on and off- the teacher has better things to do than struggle with 10 pairs of shoes on gym day :)

I would choose the Dawson for my nephew. He is starting preschool this year!

Shoes for my son have to be comfy and able to stand up to his running about and playing! I’d choose the Dawson – he’d love it!

Durability & Fit Is key!.. My daughter has such a narrow foot,
She has never been able to fit into the cute shoes from target or gap,
We always end up spending more on well crafted shoes, That are usually used due to the high price. And the way kids play,
They have to be able to withstand the violent storm of the “playground” or Vicious attacks from her younger brother.
I would love to win. (((fingers crossed- with a quiet prayer)))

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
