To celebrate Mega Savings Event that runs at Kroger through September 2nd, General Mills and PepsiCo issued a challenge through My Blog Spark to see just how much the Deal Seeking Mom readers can get with $30.

I wasn’t able to head to the store myself because of my last-minute foot surgery last week, but Alyssa from Kingdom First Mom got everything pictured above for $33.29. Check out her post for information on how she saved over $100!

Today, I’ve got another $30 gift card to give away to one lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader! Be sure to read through the Mega Event Sale posts to get an idea of what’s on sale and how to stretch your dollars and then tell me what your favorite sale item is this week.

    My favorite item for the Mega Sale is Stacy’s Pita Chips. Using an internet coupon for $1 off I can get a bag for only 99 cents. I can do this twice.

    My favorite mega savings at Ralphs was the tropicana 50 which was on sale for 2.49 and I had an online coupon for a dollar off, and then add the mega savings deal; I was in Heaven! I always pull all nighters for school and cheap orange juice keeps me healthy and happy :)

    My favorite sale item from this week’s Mega Savings Event is SunnyD Juice or Smoothies for $0.88. I have alot of $0.25 coupons clipped from magazines that will triple at Kroger. Each bottle will only cost me $0.13! *Thanks* for the giveaway!

    Wow — it looks like most of the Mr. Linky submissions have nothing to do with the Mega Savings Event. I hope they don’t count as entries.

    My fave deal is five 4-packs of yogurt with $1.25 coupons and five boxes of granola bars with coupons off for those as well. With Cellfire and Shortcuts coupons as well for the granola bars, the $5 back for buying ten participating items, and $3.50 back for buying the 5 granola products…I made out like a bandit!!

    My fav item is the Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks! What a deal. And you can use the shortcuts coupons along with printables. My son LOVES these.

    My favorite deal is the healthy hamburger helper. After discount it is .47 cents!!!! :) Ya Hoo!!!!!!

    I am loving the cheap Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks! I really stock up for us & our school! Seriously, you can buy over a dozen boxes for the same price of one regularly priced box.

    Here’s the scenario from my Kroger Matchups.
    BUY 5 BOXES OF FRUIT SNACKS & USE 5 OF THE $.40/1 COUPONS
    5 x $1.68 = $8.40 then minus $.40/1 Q’s doubled to $.80/1 x 5 = $4.00 off
    Pay $4.40 out of pocket and get back $3.50 catalina back for your next order
    So, you’ve paid $.18 per box of fruit snacks. Can you believe that?!
    *Tip: You need to do this w/only 5 boxes & have 5 other Mega items to get the savings!

    My favorite is probably the Betty Crocker fruit snacks because we go through TONS of those with school lunches and everything. The best coupon match up I see is the SoBe Life Water B1G1, which makes that a $$ maker! Thanks for another awesome giveaway!
