Complementing the selection of quality pet food and supplies in Kroger stores, Kroger Personal Finance (KPF) brings together a wide array of quality financial products and services from preferred providers for Kroger customers and their furry family members, including a new “accident only” pet insurance policy for just $9.95/month per pet.
To most pet owners, pets are family too! When pets get sick or injured, most of us are willing to spend almost whatever it takes to get them back on all four feet, but the price of veterinary care does not come cheap. As a matter of fact, according to the American Pet Products Association (APPA) vet bills last year in the U.S. topped $11 billion. For this reason, pet insurance policies are on the rise.
Kroger Pet Insurance coverage starts at just $9.95 for an accident-only plan and includes plans with up to $12,000 worth of annual coverage per pet. Sign up in Kroger’s stores or online!

We save on our pet expenses by getting our pet’s shots from the feed store instead of the vet.

I’ve been going to Kroger for my dog’s food/treats for years. I save money by using my plus card and they also send me coupons in the mail. Recently, my dog was put on a diet and uses a dog food that I can only find at Kroger. I would love to win to use for that purpose.

Pet expenses are my weakness – I do a terrible job of saving money there. I do try to limit purchases of toys – they already have so many, I have stopped buying expensive new ones.

My parents own a kennel (luckily) so I do get free care when they’re gone, but to save on supplies, I often will join email lists for various companies to receive coupons and freebies.

I’m always looking for ways to save money on pet supplies- great topic! I think that by making sure my pets get their regular Vet visits and vaccines I’m doing preventative maintenance that will save me in the long run by, hopefully, catching problems early and avoiding expensive emergency visits! Also, I ALWAYS use $ off coupons and shop sales when I go to Petsmart- plus they take competitor $$ off coupons too!

We buy the giant dog food bags from the county Co-Op. When you have a small pack of 45-lb hunting dogs, it takes a lot to feed them! Also, we save on vet care for the dogs by going to the large animal clinic where our livestock is treated. They don’t specialize in small animals, so their prices are waaaaaaaaay better.
