Complementing the selection of quality pet food and supplies in Kroger stores, Kroger Personal Finance (KPF) brings together a wide array of quality financial products and services from preferred providers for Kroger customers and their furry family members, including a new “accident only” pet insurance policy for just $9.95/month per pet.
To most pet owners, pets are family too! When pets get sick or injured, most of us are willing to spend almost whatever it takes to get them back on all four feet, but the price of veterinary care does not come cheap. As a matter of fact, according to the American Pet Products Association (APPA) vet bills last year in the U.S. topped $11 billion. For this reason, pet insurance policies are on the rise.
Kroger Pet Insurance coverage starts at just $9.95 for an accident-only plan and includes plans with up to $12,000 worth of annual coverage per pet. Sign up in Kroger’s stores or online!

I use a lot of coupons to buy treats for my sweet 2 year old Austrailian Shephard/Border Collie mix Bonnie. She is well spoiled since I can score great deals on treats!

I save on treats and food by clipping coupons and stacking as often as possible. For less expensive vet bills we use the vets at the Humane Society

We use email coupons for our pet food, and we exercise our pups to keep them in good shape and avoid the costs that can come with an overweight dog.

I stockpile cat litter when it goes on sale and stack coupons on top of the sale price! I also buy Purina cat food instead of the higher end brands.

My vet offers a “quantity discount” if I bring both of my cats in for routine exams at the same time. So I always do that. Plus my cats get less anxious if they’re together when they’re somewhere new and scary. So everyone wins.

We save by buying smaller dog food bags with $3+ coupons and stocking up rather than buying large bags that cost upwards of $20.

Today is a good example of savings. I went through my coupons and am making a special trip to the military base to use all the ones that will expire at the end of the year, including ones for cat food. Can’t let a good coupon go to waste!

We save on cat toys for our 2 cats by re-purposing household items. they will play with a milk container lid for hours on our hardwood floors. Also, anytime we have a shoe box or bigger we leave it out for them for a day or two. They wear themselves out jumping in and out of the boxes!
