Complementing the selection of quality pet food and supplies in Kroger stores, Kroger Personal Finance (KPF) brings together a wide array of quality financial products and services from preferred providers for Kroger customers and their furry family members, including a new “accident only” pet insurance policy for just $9.95/month per pet.
To most pet owners, pets are family too! When pets get sick or injured, most of us are willing to spend almost whatever it takes to get them back on all four feet, but the price of veterinary care does not come cheap. As a matter of fact, according to the American Pet Products Association (APPA) vet bills last year in the U.S. topped $11 billion. For this reason, pet insurance policies are on the rise.
Kroger Pet Insurance coverage starts at just $9.95 for an accident-only plan and includes plans with up to $12,000 worth of annual coverage per pet. Sign up in Kroger’s stores or online!

look for coupons, get coupons from others who don’t have pets. I also make some treats from scratch and frozen green beans are a big hit

I use coupons and sales of course for dog food and pet treats, but we’re also starting to make her homemade dog biscuits that she loves and that are much better for her….costs less too!

I save because my sister is our vet!

I try to save as much money as possible by using coupons and participating in the surveys attached to the receipt. These usually give me an additional $3 off my purchase.

I save because I went to vet school and now I am going to law school to put people in jail for mistreating animals.

I try to buy all our pet (dog) supplies when their on sale and/or I have a coupon. I purchase them either at Target or Walmart – seldom at pet supply stores which are more expensive. I just recently learned about https://www.mypetsavings.com/ to get alerts on coupons and samples.

I buy their flea medicine online because it is so much cheaper then the vet, and I order extra coupons online when needed for their food and treats!

Its hard to save money on the pet food I buy, because I can only find it at one store and its an all natural food. I usually stock up when it goes on sale which is usually once a month or so. I am not brand loyal to cat litter, though. Whatever is on sale or I have a coupon for (or both!)

Just like saving money on “people” food, I look for good deals, use coupons, and stockpile.

Our neighborhood shoppers share unused coupons, so I get lots of coupons through them, then just look for the best sale.
