TAYGA Cooking ApronsTayga Red & White Reversible Cooking Apron
Who needs a special occasion to use an apron? These super cute TAYGA cooking aprons will have you looking for an excuse to use them every day. I especially love the full, colorful reversible aprons. Wearing one makes cooking just a little more fun, while protecting your clothes from messy spills at the same time.

And how cute are the children’s aprons? They’re on my must-buy list for my two girls. Look for teens aprons coming December 1st and men’s aprons in Spring 2010 too.

More About TAYGA
TAYGA, an acronym for “This ain’t your grandmother’s apron!”, has been producing feminine and functional handmade aprons for women of all sizes for more than two years. Designers Debbie and Peg design their playful and sexy aprons to help women experience joy in the kitchen.

Pumpkin Pie. I love it more than words can describe, and we save it up for the holidays only. I dream of it during the holidays. I know, I’m pathetic.

This is not really a dish, but a tradition- my sons and I decorate a gingerbread house every year-it looks terrible but it is so much fun.

I love to bake and decorate Eggnog cookies during the holiday season. They are SO YUMMY (even if you don’t think you like eggnog!), don’t stick at all when I roll them out for cutout cookies and of course, the whole family ends up joining, including my 22 yr. old and 18 yr. old! Never to old to LOVE cookies! :)

My favorite holiday dish is actually the Christmas candy I make each year. I learned it from my mom who learned it from hers and I hope to teach it to my kids one day too! :)

My favorite dish to prepare is spinach dip. It’s something my mother taught me how to make and we always had it during the holidays. Then when I moved out it was the only dish I new how to prepare with out looking up a recipe, plus it’s always a hit at potlucks!

Every year we make my Dad a German Chocolate cake to his specifications. It’s three layers with coconut peacan frosting between the layers and on top. Then milk chocolate frosting on the sides and on top of the coconut pecan frosting. He’s about the only one who eats more than a piece or maybe two of it because it’s so sweet, but it makes him happy every year and that makes me smile.
He’s learning how to cook and bake more himself. This year I’m teaching him how to make pie crust and french silk pie. Should be fun.

Would love to see some of the recipes for dishes posted here!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...
