Lora Elizabeth Stamped Jewelry Flower Power Stamped Necklace
The Flower Power Necklace from Lora Elizabeth is the perfect gift for a young girl. I have a bit of a thing for hand-stamped jewelry, and I love the aged look of this piece paired with the small pearl dangle. My five-year-old daughter just oohed and ahhed over it and immediately requested that I put it on her. Of course then my 3-year-old daughter was devastated that I didn’t have one for her as well, so keep that in mind if you have several girls.
Lora Elizabeth has more to offer than just girls’ necklaces though. With gifts appropriate for moms, grandmas, dads, and grandpas, you may be able to complete a good portion of your shopping list right on her site.

My most unforgettable gift is not one that brought me happiness, so I won’t share with everyone. I was 12 and I was devastated that my mother would do this to me. What I will share is that before you give a gift that you think is “funny” think of the recipient and how they will react.

A dollhouse that my mom put together and decorated herself.

My most meaningful gift was a small little black Bible. My Mom had a large black one and I loved books. Inside she inscribed it love Mom and Dad Christmas Day,1970. I still have my little black Bible and it means more since they passed on.

The most meaningful gift I received as a child was a Barbie doll house handmade by my father out of plywood. My mom then used scraps of carpet and linoleum and put flooring in all the rooms. Then she used a wallpaper sample book to finish all the interior walls. I played with that dollhouse for years and then used it as a bookshelf during my teen years.

The gift I remember most is from the year my parents said I could have only ONE present. I had just started high school and was fascinated watching the girls on the tennis team at practice. I really wanted to take lessons but we couldn’t afford them, so I asked for a “tennis trainer”. It was a weighted stand with a tennis ball on a rebound string. I practiced every day after school and weekends to gain confidence!

Probably my favorite gift was a set of cabbage patch dolls back in the 80s. On Christmas eve, we opened our gifts from our parents and I received a beautiful, handmade cabbage patch doll that our neighbor had made for my parents to give to me. I loved her! And, on Christmas morning, Santa brought a “real” cabbage patch doll! I couldn’t believe it! I still have both of the dolls to this day, and have saved them for my daughter to hopefully love and play with as much as I did!

The most meaningful gift I got as a child was a grey and pink stuffed mouse from my dad. My mom was always the one who bought the presents for us growing up, but one Christmas my dad gave me Mousekin to replace a stuffed cat that was stolen from my hospital room.
