If you’re looking for a gift that’s sure to please a wide variety, fresh fruit is the perfect choice. The beautiful red pear and comice mixed box that I received from Naumes Fruit Gifts were some of the sweetest and juiciest pears I’ve ever tasted. My favourite is home made cookies, particular the Empire Cookies I make. They’re between shortbread and a sugar cookie. MMMM, they disappear as I bake them though, everyone walks through the kitchen and takes them!

I love to make Pecan-Pretzel-Rolo Thingys.

    All you need is:

    Pecans (halves)
    Pretzels
    Rolos

Spread pretzels on cookie sheet. Place unwrapped rolo in center of each pretzel. Bake for a few minutes at 350 or until the chocolate begins to soften. Take out of oven and press a pecan in each chocolate. Let cool and you have a delicious treat!

I would love pears. We have a 2 pear trees and this fall just when they were about ready to pick we went out to ck on them and we were cleaned out. There were no pears left to pick. We believe it was a 2 legged animal verses a 4 legged animal if you know what I mean.

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
