Win-It Wednesday: TurboTax 2009 (2 Winners!)

January 27, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting several 24-hour giveaways throughout the day to give you plenty of chances to win!

TurboTax Premier Online

TurboTax is the #1-rated, best-selling tax software from Intuit Inc. In fact, last year more federal returns were e-filed with TurboTax than with all other consumer tax software combined. TurboTax walks users through their taxes step-by-step, with guidance designed to help users find every deduction and credit they deserve so that they get the maximum possible refund.

TurboTax 2009 makes tax preparation easier than ever with:

  • Built-in guidance for more than 350 possible deductions and credits, including the 2009 Economic Stimulus
  • Real-time error check immediately flags errors and missed information. Customers can fix mistakes as they go or come back later when they have their information in hand.
  • A system for double checking deductions and credits. An estimated 5.6 million eligible taxpayers failed to claim the Earned Income Credit last year, potentially missing out on as much as $4,600.
  • Instant answers from other TurboTax users and tax experts online via the TurboTax Live Community.
  • The TurboTax Audit Risk Meter, which helps customers avoid common errors and reduce their risk of an audit before they file.
  • Instant importing of investment and wage information. TurboTax customers can easily, accurately and securely import 1099 investment and W-2 wage information from more than 140 financial institutions and payroll providers directly into their tax return.

2 lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a copy of TurboTax Premier Online (ARV $49.99)! To enter, tell me how you usually file your taxes. Do you do them yourself or use a provider? Do you efile or file a traditional paper return?

I use Turbotax to prepare my return; usually trying to find a deal to get a reduction in price. I have not started my return yet this year since I have not found a good deal. Maybe I can start it next week after I win. ;-) Thanks.

We always use Turbo Tax to do our taxes. It would be great to win one! Then we print out a paper copy and mail it in. I’m not comfortable filing it electronically yet.

We have ALWAYS used Turbo Tax (even when the Army provided a free service)- The year my husband retired from the Army (2007), Turbo Tax handled our federal return- Active military pay, combat pay(Iraq), retirement pay, VA disability, job related moving expenses, mortgage related deductions, pay from the new civilian job in Virginia with new 401k, investment/ interest income, IRA contributions, college 529 contributions, partial year’s FL residency (no state income tax), partial year’sVirginia State return (state income tax), with all the aforementioned military related & moving stuff on the Virginia return… it was a 24 page return – Turbo Tax didn’t even breathe heavily… refund in about 3-4 days. Don’t trust your taxes to any other program- and please, please don’t go to the kiosk at Wmart! I am on your email list.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
