My four-year-old daughter took one look at the sparkly and colorful cover of Shoe-La-La! and proclaimed that we must sit down and read it immediately — we’ve now read it 462 times in the past two days…

Well, maybe that’s exaggerating a little, but she adored it from the start, and she’s probably asked me to read it at least that many times! That said, it really is a great children’s book, and I love that it inspires kids to get creative and think outside of the box.

Meet four girls who love shoes: SHOE-LA-LA!

“Shoes with zippers, Shoes with straps, Shoes with buckles, Shoes with taps”.

Prance from page to page in search of the perfect pair of party shoes. Girls of all ages will love to go on a shoe shopping expedition with these four friends, from “fuzzy boots for when it snows” to “ballerinas on our toes.” The girls try on every shoe in the store, but “eeny, meeny, my, oh, my [they] just don’t know which shoes to buy.” With some feathers and glitter, a little bit of glue, and a LOT of imagination, the girls come up with the best shoes of all!

    My favorite pair of shoes are a pair of beige, open-toe and flat SAS brand shoes. They are so comfortable that you can walk with them the whole day, they don’t look that bad but they are Granny-looking type of shoes. I wish they made them more “fashionable”, but I prefer comfort over looks.

    Hmmm, My favorite pair of shoes. That’s a hard one. A few years ago, I would have easily said my cute zebra print peep toe heels. But 3 years and 2nd child later, I’m finding it harder and harder to get excited about wearing them.

    Now days, I turn to my trusty, super cute, sparkly TOMS. (I have them in black, silver, and red) Wether it’s a trip to the grocery store, lunch with girlfriends, or date night with the hubby, these shoes work perfectly. And to make them even more worthwhile, they donate a pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair that’s bought! 1 for 1! How cool is that…. I <3 these shoes, seriously.

    My favorite “shoes” are unfortunately no longer with us ! (sniff, sniff) I live in Florida so my favorite “shoes” were a pair of Reef flip flops – they went with everything! They were made from brown leather and had the cutest flowers along the top… then one day I decided to do a friend a favor and dog sit for her while she went on vacation. Everything was going smoothly until the next morning… when I woke up to find my favorite flip flops torn into shreds :( Of course, the dog couldn’t have chewed up the million pair of $5 flip flops we had piled up at my front door! lol Instead he choose my beloved $40 flip flops ! I guess the only thing that can be said about that dog is atleast he had good taste! lol

    Right now, my favorite pair of shoes are my new brown boots my hubby got me for christmas, I feel like a hot cowgirl in them, sounds silly, but they are way cute!!!

    My favorite pair of shoes are black and grey gingham with black patent leather covering the toes. I like to wear them with kinda plain outfits to dress them up a little.
