My four-year-old daughter took one look at the sparkly and colorful cover of Shoe-La-La! and proclaimed that we must sit down and read it immediately — we’ve now read it 462 times in the past two days…

Well, maybe that’s exaggerating a little, but she adored it from the start, and she’s probably asked me to read it at least that many times! That said, it really is a great children’s book, and I love that it inspires kids to get creative and think outside of the box.

Meet four girls who love shoes: SHOE-LA-LA!

“Shoes with zippers, Shoes with straps, Shoes with buckles, Shoes with taps”.

Prance from page to page in search of the perfect pair of party shoes. Girls of all ages will love to go on a shoe shopping expedition with these four friends, from “fuzzy boots for when it snows” to “ballerinas on our toes.” The girls try on every shoe in the store, but “eeny, meeny, my, oh, my [they] just don’t know which shoes to buy.” With some feathers and glitter, a little bit of glue, and a LOT of imagination, the girls come up with the best shoes of all!

    I love my teva’s. Pretty much any comfy athletic sandal. I wear them until the soles are gone and then buy a new pair. Stepping into that new pair is like stepping on a cloud:)

    My favorite shoes are my Nike Running Shoes. They keep my feet comfortable while I beat the crap out of the rest of my body with works outs!! Then when I get dressed up I can put on those sassy little red heels that make the back side look so good!!

    I LOVE my Sanuk khaki “sneakers”…they are almost worn through on the bottom I’ve worn them SO much. And, in the summer I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Sanuk flip-flops made from Yoga mat…C.O.M.F.Y!

    My fav pair ever were a pair of black wedges that were 3-4″ and made my feet look cute and small (i wear size 10 so it doesn’t happen often). But that was about 10 years ago. My fav shoes as a mommy are probably my new black ballerina flats bc they’re more practical for me now.
