Win-It Wednesday: Piggy Paint Natural as Mud Nail Polish (2 Winners!)

February 3, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Be sure to enter the other gift guide giveaways all day long. There’s something for everyone!

My two little princesses adore their Piggy Paint nail polish. They’ve always wanted to have “pink toes” like mommy, but I’ve been a little concerned about using regular nail polish on them, especially on their fingers knowing they bite them sometimes. Knowing that Piggy Paint is non-toxic makes me feel good, and they have a fabulous array of colors. My girls have already requested that I buy a few more so they can now have “rainbow toes!”

More About Piggy Paint
Melanie Hurley founded Piggy Paint as an alternative to traditional flammable nail polishes. She wanted to create a nail polish that she could feel good about even when her daughters inevitably stuck their fingers in their mouths, and this “natural as mud” polish fit the bill.

My nieces love to watch me paint my nails but I don’t paint theirs because they put their fingers in their mouths a lot…Piggy Paints is an awesome idea and I’m sure they’d love to try it so they can be “grown-up” too!!

I think all the little things make the best memories – baking cookies, painting pictures, acting silly and dacing around the room.

We spend lots of time dancing and singing together. I also love taking pictures so I’m constantly documenting all the fun and silly things they do on a regular basis. :)

I make sure that we do fun stuff with the family. I want my kids to look back and remember the fun times we all have. Whether it’s a day trip to the zoo or a lazy afternoon at home filled with board games.

I like to take each one to do something special that they like. That way I do something special with each, and it’s their own day.

My soon-to-be two year old loves to be outside. When I take her to the park, we go together on the slide, I swing on the swing next to her – she’s my little buddy. :o)

We have started to take each of our kids out individually for an activity or outing just for them. My daughter and I recently went to the movies at a theater where you can eat during the movie and there are waiters to take your order, bring your food, etc. It was special to have time just the two of us and we both enjoyed the movie and food!

The best way I make memories with my son is to devote time to him and allow him to be him. He is 4 so we play tag in the house, do water balloon fights outside, blow bubbles, just good fun!
    Thanks!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
