Win-It Wednesday: Marcal Paper Products Package (4 Winners)!

February 17, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting several 24-hour giveaways throughout the day to give you plenty of chances to win!

Maybe you’re not ready to go full on green and use cloth for napkins, paper towels, or *gasp* even TP, but Marcal has a decent compromise with their Small Steps line of products. Marcal Small Steps are produced from recycled paper so they’re gentle on the environment while still being easy on the wallet.

We’ve been giving many of the Marcal Small Steps products a test drive around our house, and while they may be slightly less soft than their traditional counterparts, I’d say the environmental impact outweighs any slight difference in quality. If you want to give Marcal a try for yourself, there was a FREE Marcal Paper Products coupon in the 1/31 Smartsource insert!

Marcal Paper is dedicated to providing paper products to consumers like you that you can feel good about purchasing. As an “Earth-Friendly Paper Goods Company,” they believe products should work well, be good for the environment and be affordable. All of their products are made from recycled paper.

Four Deal Seeking Mom readers will win a Marcal Paper Products Package including:

  • Dinner Napkins
  • Napkin Drawstring Bag (180 ct.)
  • Upright Facial Tissues (80 ct.)
  • Facial Tissues (144 ct.)
  • Single Roll Giant Towel
  • 4 Rolls Bath Tissue 2-ply
  • 4 Rolls Bath Tissue 1-ply (1000 ct.)
  • Regular Towels (3 rolls)

To enter, tell me if there’s anything you do to cut down on paper waste in your home.

I wanted to comment on how we have cut back on paper waste, I found a Bill Nye the Science Guy recycled paper making kit on sale @ etoys, it is great for making all types of writing & decorative cards from all your school papers, old tissue paper/wrapping paper etc. All my kids (ages 15 through 6) have gotten into it and have not thrown out any paper they recycle it all into cards that are sent to family & friends! Highly suggested to any one who has children or does scrap-booking!

Instead of throwing it in the garbage, I shred old newspapers and junk mail in the paper shredder to make bedding for my ferret. It saves me money for the cost of bedding and keeps him extra warm during winter. It eventually makes it’s way to the garbage but I get a little bit of extra use out of it before it does. I also go through old magazines and cut out any pictures I could use for scrapbooking…then shred the rest of course! Pieces of old worn clothes also work great as rags for my fiance to use in the garage for grease, oil, dirt, etc. rather than paper towels

We use cloth napkins a lot. We’ve also been using dish cloths and dish towels much more than we used to, saving us money and saving space in the landfills.

I wish I could find Marcal Small Steps in any of my local stores because I’ve had a few coupons I’m interested in using, but I can’t find them! I would love to give them a try.

    Great giveaway…thanks!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
