Win-It Wednesday: Marcal Paper Products Package (4 Winners)!

February 17, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting several 24-hour giveaways throughout the day to give you plenty of chances to win!

Maybe you’re not ready to go full on green and use cloth for napkins, paper towels, or *gasp* even TP, but Marcal has a decent compromise with their Small Steps line of products. Marcal Small Steps are produced from recycled paper so they’re gentle on the environment while still being easy on the wallet.

We’ve been giving many of the Marcal Small Steps products a test drive around our house, and while they may be slightly less soft than their traditional counterparts, I’d say the environmental impact outweighs any slight difference in quality. If you want to give Marcal a try for yourself, there was a FREE Marcal Paper Products coupon in the 1/31 Smartsource insert!

Marcal Paper is dedicated to providing paper products to consumers like you that you can feel good about purchasing. As an “Earth-Friendly Paper Goods Company,” they believe products should work well, be good for the environment and be affordable. All of their products are made from recycled paper.

Four Deal Seeking Mom readers will win a Marcal Paper Products Package including:

  • Dinner Napkins
  • Napkin Drawstring Bag (180 ct.)
  • Upright Facial Tissues (80 ct.)
  • Facial Tissues (144 ct.)
  • Single Roll Giant Towel
  • 4 Rolls Bath Tissue 2-ply
  • 4 Rolls Bath Tissue 1-ply (1000 ct.)
  • Regular Towels (3 rolls)

To enter, tell me if there’s anything you do to cut down on paper waste in your home.

Use the plastic bag your newspaper comes in when cleaning vegetables, saves a paper towel & they are too small for other use, just toss the bag in the garbage.

We’ve stopped purchasing paper towels and are using old towels for cleaning purposes around the house. It was a tough adjustment at first, but we’ve gotten used to it.

We cut down on our paper usage by using only the select-a-size type paper towels, and we use cloth dinner napkins as often as possible. For diapering, we use cloth.

We use small wash-clothes you can find at the Dollar Tree to wipe off our one-year-old’s hands, face and highchair tray rather than using paper towels. It works better and the wash-clothes can be washed over and over.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
