Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday, with 24-hour giveaways just for you!

If you’re like me, you noticed a few weeks ago that when the St. Patrick’s Day green was put away, the first thing to hit the stores was Little Debbie spring-themed snacks on the end caps of the aisles and at the registers. You can almost tell the season just by watching the Little Debbie selection at the store, something that hasn’t changed since I was a child.
Right now on Little Debbie’s Facebook page, you can enter to win their Million Smile Mission for a chance to win the grand prize of a 16′ Airstream Sport Trailer or one of several other prizes, including Kodak Slice Cameras, Kodak ESP 7250 Printers, digital picture frames, Little Debbie Prize Packs and more!
Ten lucky Deal Seeking Mom winners will each receive a Little Debbie prize pack that includes:
- 2 boxes of Cloud Cakes
- 2 boxes of Spring Snacks
To enter, tell me one memory involving snack cakes from when you were a kid or as an adult if you didn’t have them as a child. Did your mom pack them in your lunch box? Were they a special treat reserved for road trips? Did you eat your first snack cake in college when you were on your own?

When I took my lunch to school I knew it was special when there were Little Debbie goodies in there. Usually there were only fruit or cut veggies.

My 1st memory of a Little Debbie Snack was the Nutty Buddy Bars. My Mom purchased her 1st box from M.C.Headrick Grocery, a local grocery store. When She brought them home, My sister Cathy & I shared a pack. I had never tasted anygthing so GOOD. Peanut Butter, Chocolate, Wafers, all in one bite!!!! Who thought of this? It was Little Debbie. What a cool name!! The picture of the little girl was so pretty!
That was about 50 years ago. I am still a fan of Nutty Buddys. They simply can’t be beat!!

My mother would pack snack cakes in our lunches when we had school outings where we needed to take our own lunches. I also have the memory of going to a Chinese restaurant that would have Little Debbie snack cakes as the dessert. They’d place them on platters with garnish to make them look fancy. Thanks.

Definitely have grown up with snack cakes as a sweet treat and I still love them as an adult.

I remember my favorite Little Debbie was and is the Swiss Cake rolls. I would unroll the cakes and eat the cream first. I would then pull the chocolate coating off and eat the cake. My family always had Little Debbie’s at home and now my nephews know when they go over to my mom’s house to ask for their favorite cakes. Yum!!

I remember my mom packing them in my lunch sometimes and it was always a great surprise. My fave thing is licking the icing off when it sticks to the plastic!

My mom never bought treats like this; we thought we were deprived! Every now and then, though, my dad would buy us oatmeal cream pies–yum!

The best memory I have of Little Debbie’s snacks is when I was a kid on a fishing trip. It was a normal day of fishing by anyones standards, until we ran out of bait. Having the clairevoyance of an 8 year old and having Little Debbie’s Star Crunch as snacks, we improvised and used the Star Crunch as bait on the lines. 10 minutes later, the Star Crunch delivered me a 6lb white bass. Best day ever!
