Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday, with 24-hour giveaways just for you!

If you’re like me, you noticed a few weeks ago that when the St. Patrick’s Day green was put away, the first thing to hit the stores was Little Debbie spring-themed snacks on the end caps of the aisles and at the registers. You can almost tell the season just by watching the Little Debbie selection at the store, something that hasn’t changed since I was a child.
Right now on Little Debbie’s Facebook page, you can enter to win their Million Smile Mission for a chance to win the grand prize of a 16′ Airstream Sport Trailer or one of several other prizes, including Kodak Slice Cameras, Kodak ESP 7250 Printers, digital picture frames, Little Debbie Prize Packs and more!
Ten lucky Deal Seeking Mom winners will each receive a Little Debbie prize pack that includes:
- 2 boxes of Cloud Cakes
- 2 boxes of Spring Snacks
To enter, tell me one memory involving snack cakes from when you were a kid or as an adult if you didn’t have them as a child. Did your mom pack them in your lunch box? Were they a special treat reserved for road trips? Did you eat your first snack cake in college when you were on your own?

As a kid, my mom didn’t buy any snacks for my brother, sister or I, but she bought them for herself. She especially liked the Oatmeal Cream Pie cookies and the Swiss Cake Rolls. My favorite L.D. moment would be inflitrating past her defenses and stealthily confiscating enough for my siblings and I all without getting caught. Yes, I was THAT good.

We always had Zebra Cakes when we went camping.

When I was in high school, my two best friends and I used to have “Debbie Nights.” Any weekend that we didn’t have plans, the three of us would get together, rent a movie, and go to the grocery store to get our Little Debbie snack cakes. Each of us had a favorite, and would buy our own box. Emily bought Swiss Cake Rolls, Megan bought Fudge Rounds, (Or Star Crunch) and I always bought Zebra Cakes. This became such a tradition that when they threw my bachelorette party for me, there were Little Debbies on a silver tray.

Since I can remember my grandpa bought Little Debbie Fancy Cakes for me. They were (still are) my favorite. He always made sure they were stocked. He left us a year ago, but I now buy them for my children and everytime I see them eating them or I enjoy one myself it brings a big smile to my face.

1. My car broke down in middle of no where I could not get reception on cell phone, and we were starving – thank goodness we had heat and a little Debbie Swiss Roll twin pack to eat on, that swiss roll tasted like steak and potatoes that day

When I was younger I couldn’t wait to go shopping with my mom every Saturday because she would always buy Oatmeal Creme Pies for me and my brother. I buy them for my family now. Still love them just like when I was a kid.

My favorite memory is Little Debbie Oatmeal Pies in my lunchbox. I don’t know why, but they taste better the more smooshed they get. It’s true!

When I was a little girl (around 3) I used to tell my grandpa “That’s my favorite” every time he had a little debbies snack. He would put me on his lap and split his snack with me.

I remember my Mom packing Little Debbie roll cakes in my lunch everyday. I loved the raspberry roll cakes. My kids also loved having the snack cakes in their lunches. My oldest son is 19 and a marine and the one of the things he asked for when he graduated boot-camp was the Zebra cakes.

I always had them in my lunch and I would save it to the end of the meal and tease my friends because they didn’t have one! I still eat an oatmeal creme pie almost everyday before work!

After my Dad retired from the army we moved to Kentucky where my dad was from. My dad’s sister (My Aunt Lois) gave me a Little Debbie doll for Christmas since my name is also Debbie. I felt so special. I still have that doll and I’m 53 years old now. Everyone has always asked me how my company is doing! My husband also collected the little trucks and he bought me the barbie dolls. I guess we really are “A Little Debbie Family”. Thanks.

My best little debbie memory is when I was a freshman and sophmore in high school. We always looked forward to study hall because we knew the study hall teacher would give us a little debbie for a snack… My favorite are nutty buddy of course…

I didn’t know about Littke Debbie as a kid. My mom used generic cookie snacks for my lunch. I found them after i married because my husband loved them, & could eat a whole box in one sitting! After my children were born & I packed lunches, Little Debbie snack cakes were an economical treat for them. Both my kids are grown now, but there’s no doubt my son could be like his dad & eat a box in one sitting, Hard to pick a favorite, but the banana cream cakes & the oatmeal cream cakes were my usual go-tos when my sweet tooth kicked in!

We didn’t get snack cakes as a kid so have gone overboard as an adult to “make up for lost time” ;-). I love Little Debbies…especially the peanut butter varieties. Also their special holiday cakes are cute. Besides being affordable. :-)

Little Debbie snacks went hand in hand with my grandmother and me. She always got me Star Crunches and Oatmeal pies when I was a kid. Then, when I was pregnant with my son, had to go on total bedrest, needing to go home to Texas with my 2 yr. old daughter, leaving my husband alone on our base in Florida, she knew about the only thing that could make me smile those last few months before I had our son and could go back home were Little Debbie Star Crunches and Oatmeal Pies to the rescue. Now, my kids are crazy about those things and would eat them all the time if I let them.

oatmeal cream pies were my favorite! I always had a box somewhere…. After a night out I came home to find out I had sat on and squished some in my car and had 2 big spots on my bottom! I really wasn’t sure if I had walked around like that all night :-(

One year at camp, there was a group of teenage girls (myself included) that were bored out of their minds… lol. Well, we decided to plan and hold a mock wedding. When my mom went to the local store to get more supplies, I went with her. We bought food for our mick wedding, including two boxes of the Lacey iced white cakes. When we got back to camp we unwrapped all the cakes and stacked them up to resemble a wedding cake. We made and paper and stick cake topper. And everyone loved our wedding cake! :D
