I loved play grocery store. My mom would go shopping and when she got home I’d pretend to scan the food by “scanning” the food against the counters.

As a child my brother and I discovered a neat bunch of overgrown trees and shrubs in the back of the farm. My dad cleared a path through them for us and we helped him shape the branches into beds, swings and little cubby holes. We played in there all summer…make believing we were pioneers, kings and queens, or just playing house. It was the best natural fort ever!
