I loved nothing more than being in the tree with my two older brothers and friends imagining everything that was ahead of us – for that day and our lives. WONDERFUL memories.
Jen
We climbed our weeping willow tree and pretended we were in the jungle.

When I was young, my dad used to bring home big boxes from the factory he worked at. He’d make them into firetrucks, spaceships, castles. We loved playing in them or “driving” them around the yard.
Also, when I went to my babysitter’s house, we would play Candyland…even though it was nothing like the baord game. We’d go down the slide on the swingset to get into Candyland. There was a witch there who would sometimes capture us and we’d have to stay in the dungeon for a few minutes (stick our wrists in the chainlink fence)… We’d make stew out of dandelions and grass.. It was really fun.

my best friends from 4th grade now were 31 still best friends climbed in the eucalyptus tree and acted like we were pandas. We also had a house that we had a spaceship. Those are only a few ideas we had.

My siblings and neighborhood friends loved to pretend we were on a camping adventure in our backyard. We had a creek in our backyard that we would “fish” in. We’d use big pine tree branches to “sweep” debris out of the way to clear the campsite.
