Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

One night a week, we make a huge batch of steel cut oats. Then, we have toppings (nuts, dried fruit, honey, etc) in one area. Then, each morning, breakfast is made! And, a fresh cup of coffee is an indulgence for me! It feels like a special treat when I get one!

I LOVE coffee!! With a 5 day old baby and a 5 year old, I need it now more than ever – haha! Since I’m on unpaid maternity leave, I can’t afford to go out and get my usually coffee from the coffee shop so this would be GREAT for a gourmet coffee from home – and I could even make just one cup for myself during those late night baby feedings! Here’s crossing my fingers!! :)

I do not know how I could face the day until I eat. This would save time! I’m used to preparing food the night before.

Routine is key fore but the minute I smell fresh coffee it gives me a burst of energy and I tend to move faster so I can get to my coffee sooner!

My morning calmdown routine is toast, coffee and listening to quiet music and/or podcasts before heading out the door to work.

I prepare everything the night before; clothes, backpack, snacks, then in the morning I have time to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee.

My tip for hectic mornings and to only do the essentials. Leave things that can get done later for later!

In the mornings, I find it easiest for me to get things started by turning on cartoons for the kids (usually Mickey Mouse or Dora), giving them milk, and starting my coffee. Once my coffee is brewed, I’m able to tackle everything else, such as breakfast, laundry, etc.

The best thing to do to make the morning go smoother is to prepare as much as you can the night before and get to bed on time.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
