Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

I try to get up a little earlier than my family to ease into the day a little. Coffee is a must and I would love a Keurig because I am the only coffee drinker in the family!

Like many others, I try to set things out the night before. Since I often got to exercise after school drop off, I don’t have to do much to get myself ready.

I get everything together the evening before if I know I need to leave the house early. A nice cup of coffee in the morning gives me a few minutes to just relax and enjoy.

For a smoother morning, I try to prepare as much as I can the night before… clothes, school lunch, etc.

I find it most helpful to get as much ready the night before. I have at least 5-7 bags that need to go down to my car, and that’s before both of my kids go to the car. My trick – get my hubby to take all the bags to the car for me! Then I enjoy my cup of coffee from my keurig.

I find the biggest help for me is to have all my things ready the night before so I can just grab what I need and get out the door in the morning. I hardly ever make coffee cause I’m the only one to drink it so a Keurig would be the perfect pick me up for me! Thanks for an awesome giveaway!

Plan ahead…whether it be getting things ready over the weekend (putting lunches in little baggies for the week) or laying clothes out the night before. This just allows me to get a jump on the morning. Feels like a springboard when something is actually ready to just walk out the door with me. (Would be nice to have a cup of coffee to go too!) ;-)

I don’t usually have hectic mornings, since I am a stay-at-home mom of just one, but coffee definitely helps me on those mornings I am feeling sleep deprived! :)

The best tip/trick I can think of is to get EVERYTHING ready the night before. Get the coffee maker ready, iron work clothes, lay out school clothes, etc…and also shower/bath night before.

As long as I get the kids fed first things are calm for awhile in the mornings. I don’t have a coffee maker right now but was just looking at one of these yesterday at the store. I didn’t look at the price though, I was scared too!

I am not a coffee drinker but my husband is, I am already checking out black friday ads for the best deal for this machine! So here’s to hoping I’m lucky. We are very much a plan ahead family. The lunch boxes are out on the counter, the book bags are packed and clothes are laid out. Our mornings are pretty seamless but since I can’t brew a cup of coffee to save my life, my husband usually waits at least 2 hours after waking to get his first cup, which is not good for him. This would be perfect for our household!
