Win-It Wednesday: Joovy Nook Highchair!

June 9, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

If you’re in the market for a new high chair, the Joovy Nook should definitely be an option you look into. This thing is fantastic! My only regret is not finding it sooner so that I could have used it with more of my kids.

Some of my favorite features:

  • Folds up ultra compact — this is so important when you have a lot of baby gear and not a lot of room!
  • Five-point harness — my oldest boy was quite the Houdini, and I’m sure this feature would have kept him put. As it is, it keeps my two-year-old securely in place, and the padded straps look quite comfortable.
  • Swing-open tray — juggling a baby and a plate of food, all while trying to keep the dog from snatching a taste, is tough. The swing-open tray makes it easy to open with one hand, leaving your other hand free for wrangling!
  • Easy to clean — the leatherette version wipes clean easily, and the bright, cheery fabric covers can be tossed right in the washing machine!

Best of all the Joovy Nook just looks cool! I’m a sucker for contemporary design, and this is eye-catching, yet sturdy. Choose from black or white leatherette or orange or green fabric.

Joovy has a very special introductory offer for Deal Seeking Mom readers. Use the code nookintrospecial at checkout to score 30% off your purchase plus FREE continental shipping! Expires 7/15/10.

I’m with the easy to clean….storing is never a problem, cause it usually stays out anyway. I like when they are simple without all the gadgets and additions.

We recently moved to a house with a smaller dining room so this highchair would be perfect for my 5 month old who will be starting cereal soon! I also love the fact that it has a swing tray, with two kids this could really come on handy!!!

I’m looking for a high chair that will fold to a fairly compact size. I like that this brand & style of chair doesn’t seem bulky.

For me the number 1 priority is safety. I think a highchair should be easy and quick to release for removal of the child in case of choking.

I look for durability. Our current high chair has a torn cover so we’d love a new one!

In retrospect I would look for one that cleans easily (if I win this one, I’ll give it to a friend who is expecting).

I am a soon-to-be mom expecting in August, so all I really know to look for is the ease of use. I want a high chair that is really easy to use. the 5 point harness system is a plus, too!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
