Win-It Wednesday: Joovy Nook Highchair!

June 9, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

If you’re in the market for a new high chair, the Joovy Nook should definitely be an option you look into. This thing is fantastic! My only regret is not finding it sooner so that I could have used it with more of my kids.

Some of my favorite features:

  • Folds up ultra compact — this is so important when you have a lot of baby gear and not a lot of room!
  • Five-point harness — my oldest boy was quite the Houdini, and I’m sure this feature would have kept him put. As it is, it keeps my two-year-old securely in place, and the padded straps look quite comfortable.
  • Swing-open tray — juggling a baby and a plate of food, all while trying to keep the dog from snatching a taste, is tough. The swing-open tray makes it easy to open with one hand, leaving your other hand free for wrangling!
  • Easy to clean — the leatherette version wipes clean easily, and the bright, cheery fabric covers can be tossed right in the washing machine!

Best of all the Joovy Nook just looks cool! I’m a sucker for contemporary design, and this is eye-catching, yet sturdy. Choose from black or white leatherette or orange or green fabric.

Joovy has a very special introductory offer for Deal Seeking Mom readers. Use the code nookintrospecial at checkout to score 30% off your purchase plus FREE continental shipping! Expires 7/15/10.

I think a highchair that is easy to clean is so important. Kids are messy eaters! I don’t worry about it being compact, but I have a big kitchen so I’m blessed that way.

I definitely look at how easy it is to clean… baby food and toddlers eating is not a pretty sight! It has to be easy to clean!

Features I look for in a highchair: Ease of use, easiness to clean, how much room it takes up.

I look for a compact stroller that can fold easily, as we have a very small home.

This chair looks great! And the fact that it folds up narrow–extra bonus!

After two toddlers (my daughter just turned 3 and my son is almost 2) the thing I look for the most is the cleanability (is that a word?).

I like a high chair to look fun and perky, and to be compact in design, easily washable in all parts, i.e. not a bunch of teeny nooks and crannies, and comfortable for my children. Also I like it to last through more than one child – durable.

I look for ease of use and safety. I have an old antique wooden chair, that went through all of my cousins and myself but it has no safety straps and is only for older infants to toddlers.

I would really love a high chair that would fold and alsoo clean easy! Joovy looks great!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
