Win-It Wednesday: Joovy Nook Highchair!

June 9, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

If you’re in the market for a new high chair, the Joovy Nook should definitely be an option you look into. This thing is fantastic! My only regret is not finding it sooner so that I could have used it with more of my kids.

Some of my favorite features:

  • Folds up ultra compact — this is so important when you have a lot of baby gear and not a lot of room!
  • Five-point harness — my oldest boy was quite the Houdini, and I’m sure this feature would have kept him put. As it is, it keeps my two-year-old securely in place, and the padded straps look quite comfortable.
  • Swing-open tray — juggling a baby and a plate of food, all while trying to keep the dog from snatching a taste, is tough. The swing-open tray makes it easy to open with one hand, leaving your other hand free for wrangling!
  • Easy to clean — the leatherette version wipes clean easily, and the bright, cheery fabric covers can be tossed right in the washing machine!

Best of all the Joovy Nook just looks cool! I’m a sucker for contemporary design, and this is eye-catching, yet sturdy. Choose from black or white leatherette or orange or green fabric.

Joovy has a very special introductory offer for Deal Seeking Mom readers. Use the code nookintrospecial at checkout to score 30% off your purchase plus FREE continental shipping! Expires 7/15/10.

The feature I NOW look for- is a good harness system. My 11 mo old gets out of our current high chair harness easily- scary for me. I need a better one.

The thing that i look for most in a highchair is durability and how compact it is. I would love to get a new high chair for my son!

In a highchair I would love something that doesn’t take up alot of room when it is folded out for use (the legs on the one we have out now are about 2 1/2 feet wide when in use) and then stores nice when we don’t want it out

I got a highchair from Ikea for my son, but once he was old enough to start feeding himself I felt like it didn’t have a big enough tray. I wouldn’t let him have the food himself because I didn’t want him making a mess, so now instead of something super compact and easy to take apart, I’m looking for something with a decent sized tray that is easy to clean up.

I love the idea of the swing out tray on this high chair. Amazing concept!! The worst thing about a high chair is having to juggle the tray and the food.

The number one thing I look for in a highchair is how easily it cleans up. I especially like removable trays.

  26. Sammy

    June 9, 2010 at 4:01 pm

Easy to clean and easy to store, or at least stylish enough to be left out in the open.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
