Win-It Wednesday: Joovy Caboose Ultralight!

June 16, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

My husband would be the first to tell you that the last thing we need is another stroller. I’ve amassed quite the collection through five kids while trying to find that perfect stroller for our family. For a long time our double-jogging stroller was the stroller of the moment, but now that the kids are a little older (and heavier), it’s become a little unwieldy to maneuver.

He rolled his eyes when the Joovy Caboose Ultralight box arrived, but he was willing to give it a try, which we did on a recent trip to the Columbus Zoo. I really wish we’d found this stroller ages ago, because it’s very versatile for a growing family. Unlike our double-jogging stroller, it will accommodate an older child and a baby carrier. Plus as your children get older, it allows for one child to sit and another to either sit or stand in the back. This is perfect for my two-year-old who is constantly changing his mind, but it also appeals to my older girls.

Parents will also appreciate the neoprene parent organizer, something my jogging stroller was sadly lacking in. The large storage basket holds all of your gear, with room for additional packages that you may pick up on your outings.

Other features:

  • 3-position front seat recline
  • 4-wheel suspension/linked rear brake
  • Removable tray
  • Oversized canopy
  • Folds compactly

I’d encourage even first-time parents to give the Joovy Caboose Ultralight a good look. You may not have a need for a double stroller at the moment, but you’ll definitely get your money’s worth out of this over the years!

We also have many strollers (my husband would like to know when he can have the garage back)! This one looks great and would be perfect for any combination of my 3 little ones.

I would LOVE this! My 2 year old is also always changing his mind and my almost 4 year old gets whiny and wants to be carried when he hasn’t had a nap and we’re out somewhere. Thanks for the giveaway!

My 2 youngest kids were barely 2 years apart and it was a really hard to go anywhere with both of them. Now I have 4 grandkids, the oldest is 9 but the three youngest are 4 yrs., 2 yrs., and 1 yr. old. I don’t ever take all of them at one time. It’s usually the 2 youngest or the 4 yr. old and one of the little ones but even that’s a hassle cause the 4 yr. old gets tired, too and wants to be able to sit and be pushed.
I can’t hold a little one and push the stroller because I’ve got a bad back. This is a grandmother that desperately needs one of those strollers, plus it would be a big help to my son and daughter-in-law.

We’re getting ready to start trying for child #2, so we’re going to need a stroller upgrade from our single jogger. This looks like an excellent next step!

We plan to start trying for a second baby next spring…we’ll need a double stroller for sure then. In the meantime it would be great for taking my daughter and nephew places!

I would love to have one of these! We just had a baby (7 wks.) and with a 2 yr. old AND a 4 yr. old I can use all the help I can get out on outings. The oldest MIGHT stand, but I know the younger two would be quite content in this, plus it appears to have some awesome features. Right now we just have a single stroller for the car seat…..would love to use one of these cool rides!!

My husband and I are currently expecting baby number 4, due Sept. 1st and this stroller sounds perfect for our growing family. Our kids are 10, 4 and 18mos. and we have no plans on stopping there. We need a stroller that is built to last. Thank you so much for this opportunity! God Bless.
BTW – your daughters are beautiful!

Future need. My children are grown and on their first child each, but I am sure that a second one is coming. And besides that GG could probably use a stroller for the two grandchildren.
