Win-It Wednesday: Joovy Caboose Ultralight!

June 16, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

My husband would be the first to tell you that the last thing we need is another stroller. I’ve amassed quite the collection through five kids while trying to find that perfect stroller for our family. For a long time our double-jogging stroller was the stroller of the moment, but now that the kids are a little older (and heavier), it’s become a little unwieldy to maneuver.

He rolled his eyes when the Joovy Caboose Ultralight box arrived, but he was willing to give it a try, which we did on a recent trip to the Columbus Zoo. I really wish we’d found this stroller ages ago, because it’s very versatile for a growing family. Unlike our double-jogging stroller, it will accommodate an older child and a baby carrier. Plus as your children get older, it allows for one child to sit and another to either sit or stand in the back. This is perfect for my two-year-old who is constantly changing his mind, but it also appeals to my older girls.

Parents will also appreciate the neoprene parent organizer, something my jogging stroller was sadly lacking in. The large storage basket holds all of your gear, with room for additional packages that you may pick up on your outings.

Other features:

  • 3-position front seat recline
  • 4-wheel suspension/linked rear brake
  • Removable tray
  • Oversized canopy
  • Folds compactly

I’d encourage even first-time parents to give the Joovy Caboose Ultralight a good look. You may not have a need for a double stroller at the moment, but you’ll definitely get your money’s worth out of this over the years!

We have a big, bulky double stroller that now just sits in the garage (time to sell it, I guess!). The big one was great when we had a toddler and an infant, but now that they are both toddlers it is way more work than help. Time to find the next best stroller, and from what I’ve read about the Joovy, I’m thinking this might be the move to make. Two strollers is not working, especially when there is only one parent. This stroller might just save my sanity! You mean this would end the fighting “I want to sit!” “NO, I want to sit!” “My legs hurt, Mommy.” “I’m not walking, he has to walk!” Calgon, no, Joovy, take me away!!

I have 3 boys (7,5 and 14 months). I also watch 2 babies. My niece is 21 months and my friends’ son is a day younger than my youngest. I could really use this with the 3 babies and when we go to a theme park my middle child has a hard time keeping up. So, my two youngest could use it as well. Thanks for the opportunity.

This would be ideal for my family. I have 4 children. Would be great to take for the two youngest. My baby Asher, 6 months and Ila 3yrs. Ila would love to stand, so this would be great.

I have seriously been considering finding a stroller like this. My three year old can never decide whether she wants to sit or walk, and she likes to torment the 9 month old. Hopefully a stroller like this will give them each a little space. :) Thanks!

I have a three year old and a 1 1/2 year old. My three year old hates to ride in a stroller so a sit and stand stroller would be perfect for long day trips when he gets tired of walking.

Oh how we could have used this years ago! We only have one in a stroller right now, but if my husband gets his way/wish, that may not be true for long :)

Now if only they made strollers for grouchy/hormonal 13 and 15 year olds…
