Win-It Wednesday: Joovy Caboose Ultralight!

June 16, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

My husband would be the first to tell you that the last thing we need is another stroller. I’ve amassed quite the collection through five kids while trying to find that perfect stroller for our family. For a long time our double-jogging stroller was the stroller of the moment, but now that the kids are a little older (and heavier), it’s become a little unwieldy to maneuver.

He rolled his eyes when the Joovy Caboose Ultralight box arrived, but he was willing to give it a try, which we did on a recent trip to the Columbus Zoo. I really wish we’d found this stroller ages ago, because it’s very versatile for a growing family. Unlike our double-jogging stroller, it will accommodate an older child and a baby carrier. Plus as your children get older, it allows for one child to sit and another to either sit or stand in the back. This is perfect for my two-year-old who is constantly changing his mind, but it also appeals to my older girls.

Parents will also appreciate the neoprene parent organizer, something my jogging stroller was sadly lacking in. The large storage basket holds all of your gear, with room for additional packages that you may pick up on your outings.

Other features:

  • 3-position front seat recline
  • 4-wheel suspension/linked rear brake
  • Removable tray
  • Oversized canopy
  • Folds compactly

I’d encourage even first-time parents to give the Joovy Caboose Ultralight a good look. You may not have a need for a double stroller at the moment, but you’ll definitely get your money’s worth out of this over the years!

I don’t have the need for myself but have close friends that need a double stroller desperately. It would be a great present for a family that can’t afford to buy one on their own.

with an increasingly heavy 6 and 4 yo and an 1 yo, we do have a double stroller. but, i always shy away from using is as it is very heavy and the older kids don’t want to sit the whole time, but they need a break sometimes too.

I have a 23 month old. After a miscarriage in April we are trying again for #2. I would love a stroller that would allow my oldest to sit or stand (since the whole sitting for longer than a minute deal escapes her right now). I appreciate it!!

I would LOVE another Joovy….I had one a few years back, but had to get rid of it. Well, wouldn’t you know…I need another one :) I have a 1, 3 and 6 year old and would love to “contain” the bottom 2 as compact as possible!

I definitely need a double stroller. I have a 4 and 2 year old, and though I can sometimes get away with just the single stroller, when we do more walking, my 4 year old can get really tired.

Would absolutely love this stroller. I have a double stroller and it is so heavy and hard to manuever. Now that my kids are 2 and 4 I don’t need something quite so big. Also my 4 year old is too tall to sit under the canopy so we had to remove it. Really have been looking at these sit to stands. Would LOVE it.

I would love this for my 3 year old and 9 month old. We have a sit and stand that is such a pain to maneuver. I’ve only used it a handful of times because I hate it!

I definitely need a double stroller! I have two boys (9 months old and 2 years old), and I need to be able to take walks with both of them so that I can keep exercising to get healthier!

With baby #4 on the way, I’d say we do! Could use a self-propelled triple one, but haven’t seen such a thing yet. LOL

I need one now. my double has seen better days. I have had 5 chldren. I have seen these before and thought that would be amazing to have for my 3 and 4 year old. Thanks for the giveaway.

I have a Baby Trend Sit and Stand–It’s similar to this one. I love the design–it’s perfect for my 3 and 1 year olds. The stroller we have doesn’t steer the best and is difficult to maneuver on any sort of rough terrain. We use it for walks in our neighborhood and it’s sufficient for that.

I have an old double stroller from a garage sale that I use everywhere. With 4 kids it’s gotten used (read abused :) like crazy. It would be fun to try something new that the wheels aren’t threatening to fall off.
