Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

June is just about over now, but did you know that it was National Safe Driving Month? Motorola hit the road this month to educate consumers about driving safely with their Get Smarter safe driving campaign.
As part of this effort, Motorola has developed the H17txt with Motospeak Hands-Free Device. This nifty little piece of technology looks like a typical Bluetooth headset, with the added capability of reading text messages to the consumer in real time. You can even set up an autoresponse that will let the original sender know that you will respond to their message as soon as you reach your destination!
Motorola sent me an H17txt with Motospeak unit to test drive this feature. Unfortunately, the Motospeak technology is only compatible with Android and RIM devices at this time, so I was unable to take advantage of it with my iPhone. However, you can still use it as a Bluetooth headset, and this has quickly become a lifesaver for me. I’m hoping that the Motospeak application will be compatible soon, because I’d love to have that feature.
One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win an H17txt with Motospeak Hands-Free Device!
To enter, answer tell me whether you’ve ever been tempted to text and drive. Shh, we won’t tell…

No I haven’t ever been tempted, but I have answered the phone at times.
Bridget
Yep….tempted, but would LOVE a way to not have to be! :-)
liah
Red lights are good for texting.
Aurora
i’ve been tempted, but it’s scary to think of what could happen while i’m not looking!

Ummm…more than tempted. Unfortunately, I do it all the time! Bad, bad me.

i have never done it. never been tempted to text and drive. but my hubby is a professional driver with employees and he is constantly getting phone calls. this would be very helpful for him!!
Jessie
Texting, no, but I must admit that I do speak on the phone
Heather Jirka
I have been tempted, but the thought of hurting my children or someone else always draws me back. If I really need to communicate, I have one of my teenagers text for me or I pull over.
I HAVE sent a text while waiting for a red light to change, that’s probably not a good idea either.

I’m already a facebook fan…

I’ve been tempted but then the brain kicks in. I have sent a short one at a red light though. Trying not to do that either. I have never had a head set. I guess its time to get one (or WIN one) ;)
Tori
Yes, I’ve been tempted. I am a multi-tasker, and I hate “just driving.” So I remind myself that it’s not worth an accident…Ever!

tonya
Yes, I have been tempted to text my kids!!!
Tiffani Ghiglieri
I need 2 hands to text. I can’t drive and text. I just yell at it if it rings. ” I cannot answer you now”” I do not have blue tooth either.
Heidi
Absolutely not. I don’t even like talking on the phone while driving. I’m not a good multi-tasker and have seen too many news reports about people killing themselves or others because they were texting and driving..
I’m a fan on Facebook and an email subscriber.
