Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday, with 24-hour giveaways just for you!

Have you ever wondered if you remembered to close the garage door? Or have you ever worried about the safety of your garage door? If so, then the Genie SilentMax 1000 garage door opener and its many new safety features will offer you peace of mind.
Not only does the SilentMax 1000 provide intelligent design for the homeowner that wants quiet performance with superior design and conveniences, it also offers some pretty amazing safety features like a comprehensive Safe-T-Beam system that meets or exceeds CSA regulations, an auto reversing system that prevents it from closing if something is in the way, and a superior encryption system that automatically changes the access code every time you use it to prevent unauthorized persons from opening your garage door.
The Genie SilentMax 1000 is so simple to install that my husband was able to put it up without assistance in about an hour. I have to say it definitely lives up to its name — it’s the quietest garage door opener I’ve ever heard (or not heard in this case). I was in the house and had no idea he was already testing it out!

I love the keypad entry system because it means I don’t have to carry bulky keys with me when I go for a walk or to the park, and it’s also great for those rare occasions when the kids beat me home from school. They just punch in our PIN number, and can let themselves into the house.

One of my favorite features is the optional Network Adapter. It’s easy to get distracted when pulling out of the driveway with a carload of kids, so this handy little feature tells me at a glance whether or not I’ve remembered to shut the garage door. The Network Adapter remote will beep and flash green when closed properly or give a warning tone and flash read when not closed properly.
Today, one lucky Deal Seeking Mom winner will win a Genie Silent Max 1000 Garage Door Opener prize pack that includes:
- One SilentMax 1000 Garage Door Opener
- Closed Confirm 3-button Remote and Network Adapter Combo

That the garage door will start to close while I’m backing out or that my daughter will get hit by the closing door after I’ve parked the car.

My garage door opener is broken and my house was broken into 4 times in 8 months…

I worry about thieves being able to scramble the signal on a garage door opener to gain access to our house. I love the encryption feature!

We are moving into a house with no opener! This would be great!

My biggest safety concern is someone else being able to open our garage door – or sometimes it malfunctions and doesn’t close all the way. I often have to drive back past my house if I forgot to wait until I see it hit the pavement!

Wow!! A network adapter would help my fear of driving off and not remembering if I closed the garage. This would save me in so many ways…from feeling like I’m crazy for not remembering if I closed it to saving money on gas from having to drive back home to make sure I did. LOL

My biggest concern is the noise level. Our current opener is really noisy.
dave
I’m always afraid that it will fall on someone.

My biggest fair is that the garage door would shut down on one of my children.
Mandy
Sorry- I meant fear not fair :)

I have two concerns with my garage doors. First concern is about access by outsiders. My second concern is about them falling on one of the kids when they are open.
Carrie
I’m concerned if our ancient garage door opener one day gives way when there is a car (or worse!) a person underneath!

I “liked” both pages on fb. I would love to win this! We have a manual garage door that is nearly impossible to open. My husband is the only one that can open it. So we just park in our driveway instead of pulling into the garage. Which is very inconvenient when it’s storming. Our children (3 & 5yrs old) would rather stay in our van than to get out and run into the house when it’s bad weather.

I worry about my garage doors when the power goes out and they can be lifted up manually – very scarey!
