Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday, with 24-hour giveaways just for you!

Have you ever wondered if you remembered to close the garage door? Or have you ever worried about the safety of your garage door? If so, then the Genie SilentMax 1000 garage door opener and its many new safety features will offer you peace of mind.
Not only does the SilentMax 1000 provide intelligent design for the homeowner that wants quiet performance with superior design and conveniences, it also offers some pretty amazing safety features like a comprehensive Safe-T-Beam system that meets or exceeds CSA regulations, an auto reversing system that prevents it from closing if something is in the way, and a superior encryption system that automatically changes the access code every time you use it to prevent unauthorized persons from opening your garage door.
The Genie SilentMax 1000 is so simple to install that my husband was able to put it up without assistance in about an hour. I have to say it definitely lives up to its name — it’s the quietest garage door opener I’ve ever heard (or not heard in this case). I was in the house and had no idea he was already testing it out!

I love the keypad entry system because it means I don’t have to carry bulky keys with me when I go for a walk or to the park, and it’s also great for those rare occasions when the kids beat me home from school. They just punch in our PIN number, and can let themselves into the house.

One of my favorite features is the optional Network Adapter. It’s easy to get distracted when pulling out of the driveway with a carload of kids, so this handy little feature tells me at a glance whether or not I’ve remembered to shut the garage door. The Network Adapter remote will beep and flash green when closed properly or give a warning tone and flash read when not closed properly.
Today, one lucky Deal Seeking Mom winner will win a Genie Silent Max 1000 Garage Door Opener prize pack that includes:
- One SilentMax 1000 Garage Door Opener
- Closed Confirm 3-button Remote and Network Adapter Combo

Heading to “like”!! Also, my biggest concern Is always not remembering if I’ve closed the garage door or not and we always have to back up or go around the block to make sure we have closed it!! I don’t have any kids but do have a lot on my mind, so not always sure if i closed it or not. With this, I won’t have to circle the block to check!! And for some reason, while closing the door, sometimes it will stop while it’s partially down and reverse! Whats up with that?!!! Thanks for the opportunity!

My biggest fear is having the garage door coming down and crushing one of my cats.
Morgan
My biggest safety concern is for my mother who is unable to lift the garage doors by herself and has at times had them fall down on her. She does not have a garage door opener currently and if I won I would give it to her because I don’t know what I would do if she got hurt!

My biggest fear is leaving and the garage door re-opening on it’s own and being open the entire day. When we moved into this house, my husband and I went out to Lowes to look for a few things, and when we came home the garage door was open. That is when we realized that our current garage door opener sometimes makes the door go down too far, so then it bounces back up. I have had to turn around and drive back by the house many times just to give myself the peace of mind that my house is safe while I am away.

my biggest concern would have to be that even if I push the button to shut the garage door sometimes midway thru it will open back up. I usually wait for it to shut completely before I drive off. However there’s been a couple of times I had forgotten and have come back home to find my garage open.

I think my biggest safety concern is that my garage door doesn’t lock and we don’t live in a very good neighborhood. we have an old manual one that won’t stay up and slams closed… this would be awesome!

I worry about thieves being able to scramble the signal on a garage door opener to gain access to our house. I love the encryption feature! We just moved to a new (to us) house where the previous owners never installed openers on the garage doors. This would be a wonderful win!
