Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday, with 24-hour giveaways just for you!

Have you ever wondered if you remembered to close the garage door? Or have you ever worried about the safety of your garage door? If so, then the Genie SilentMax 1000 garage door opener and its many new safety features will offer you peace of mind.
Not only does the SilentMax 1000 provide intelligent design for the homeowner that wants quiet performance with superior design and conveniences, it also offers some pretty amazing safety features like a comprehensive Safe-T-Beam system that meets or exceeds CSA regulations, an auto reversing system that prevents it from closing if something is in the way, and a superior encryption system that automatically changes the access code every time you use it to prevent unauthorized persons from opening your garage door.
The Genie SilentMax 1000 is so simple to install that my husband was able to put it up without assistance in about an hour. I have to say it definitely lives up to its name — it’s the quietest garage door opener I’ve ever heard (or not heard in this case). I was in the house and had no idea he was already testing it out!

I love the keypad entry system because it means I don’t have to carry bulky keys with me when I go for a walk or to the park, and it’s also great for those rare occasions when the kids beat me home from school. They just punch in our PIN number, and can let themselves into the house.

One of my favorite features is the optional Network Adapter. It’s easy to get distracted when pulling out of the driveway with a carload of kids, so this handy little feature tells me at a glance whether or not I’ve remembered to shut the garage door. The Network Adapter remote will beep and flash green when closed properly or give a warning tone and flash read when not closed properly.
Today, one lucky Deal Seeking Mom winner will win a Genie Silent Max 1000 Garage Door Opener prize pack that includes:
- One SilentMax 1000 Garage Door Opener
- Closed Confirm 3-button Remote and Network Adapter Combo

My biggest concern is the garage door does not always open all the way allowing a proper clearance for my Tahoe. I stop midway just to verify I have room each time I park in the garage.
Laurie
My biggest fear is leaving for the day and having the door open while I’m gone.

I really need one of these, I have an old house with heavy wooden garage doors, I’m always afraid of the door falling on someone as they are walking through. I am also worried about the door falling on my car.

I most fear my young sons getting crushed by the door. Our opener is no longer working properly, so we’ve had to switch to manually opening and closing it, which makes me extra nervous!
PS – I gave you many shout-outs in my new book, including listing you as my favorite coupon database!
Brenda
My biggest concern is to have the van inside on bad weather. But the ease of opening and closing the garage door with a click of button.
