Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday, with 24-hour giveaways just for you!

Have you ever wondered if you remembered to close the garage door? Or have you ever worried about the safety of your garage door? If so, then the Genie SilentMax 1000 garage door opener and its many new safety features will offer you peace of mind.
Not only does the SilentMax 1000 provide intelligent design for the homeowner that wants quiet performance with superior design and conveniences, it also offers some pretty amazing safety features like a comprehensive Safe-T-Beam system that meets or exceeds CSA regulations, an auto reversing system that prevents it from closing if something is in the way, and a superior encryption system that automatically changes the access code every time you use it to prevent unauthorized persons from opening your garage door.
The Genie SilentMax 1000 is so simple to install that my husband was able to put it up without assistance in about an hour. I have to say it definitely lives up to its name — it’s the quietest garage door opener I’ve ever heard (or not heard in this case). I was in the house and had no idea he was already testing it out!

I love the keypad entry system because it means I don’t have to carry bulky keys with me when I go for a walk or to the park, and it’s also great for those rare occasions when the kids beat me home from school. They just punch in our PIN number, and can let themselves into the house.

One of my favorite features is the optional Network Adapter. It’s easy to get distracted when pulling out of the driveway with a carload of kids, so this handy little feature tells me at a glance whether or not I’ve remembered to shut the garage door. The Network Adapter remote will beep and flash green when closed properly or give a warning tone and flash read when not closed properly.
Today, one lucky Deal Seeking Mom winner will win a Genie Silent Max 1000 Garage Door Opener prize pack that includes:
- One SilentMax 1000 Garage Door Opener
- Closed Confirm 3-button Remote and Network Adapter Combo

We have slept with the garage door open, and left the house and had it opened. My BIGGEST fear is leaving it opened! We desperately need a new garage door opener! Ours is over 20 years old and the track keeps hanging up!

I don’t know that I have a safety concern…right now, our spring pulled from the wall so we have to do everything manually. I’d love to have that fixed, buy a new insulated door and have a new opener!
Deb
My fear with MY garage door is my husband installed it and the lock doesn’t actually lock!!!!!!!! I would love an electric opener.
Lisa
My biggest safety concern is the garage door not closing all the way and me leaving home with the garage door open. This has happened to me! I hate coming home to an open garage and (hopefully) empty house!

My biggest concern is that the sensor won’t work and possibly continue closing if someone is underneath the garage door, and whether I remembered to close it or not. Thanks for the giveaway!

I’m always afraid that we have left the garage unlocked which would lead to someone entering our house through the door that I try to keep locked (if only my fiance would learn to check these things). I am very paranoid when it comes to things being locked.

I am a subscriber and we dont have a garage opener at all.
